This hotel is really convenient because it's located in downtown San Francisco, close to the Powell Street BART station. There's four towers with a rooftop heated pool and hot tub in the center. We had a very large corner room, complete with a living room set which was very nice. It was a very comfortable stay. Our room had a mini fridge too which was great, but there's no microwave, fyi. Be sure to register for Hilton Honors for free in-room Wi-Fi.

I luckily ended up on the floor with the pool; therefore, I spent most of my days in the hot tub.

While busy and bright, the hotel lobby bar at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square has attentive and conscientious wait staff. Things here move quickly and smoothly.

São Paulo

Very well located nearby Union Square. Try to get onde of the skyline bay view rooms in a higher floor.

It is breathtaking!

While I am a local, I stayed here with a family member while they attended a convention at the Moscone center. The hotel service here was amazing and more than accommodating. While the hotel layout is somewhat confusing and almost a little creepy (especially the gym), the rooms and service are on point!

Beautiful hotel! Centrally located in Union Square, within walking distance to almost everything in downtown San Francisco. I felt very fancy in the hotel, with door men opening the doors as I would go in and out of the hotel.

Granby, Canada

location good but be sure to not turn keft out of the doors, taking you to the tenderloin district which is a rough district. we werefortunate enough to get a renovated room, very clean and comfortable. when checking the hotel reception aided us with our questions to the best she cpould and provided us with a map of downtoen as well as a city guide. we later called and requested blankets for the bed, and they were sitting on the beds that evening upon our return.

Ewa Beach, Hawaii

Pretty good hotel! I give it 3.5 stars.

The hotel is huge, taking up an entire block. It's located right at Taylor and O'Farrell. They call it the "Union Square" location, but it's cutting pretty close, and is right at the border of the Tenderloin district. The back side is on Ellis St, which is not the best street to be walking up. It smells of urine and despair, and filled with lots of homeless and other shady looking people. We made the mistake of walking up Ellis to get to this thai restaurant. I have stayed two blocks over at the Warwick and walking around that area and down into Union Square near Market was NEVER a problem, and I always felt safe even when walking alone.

The Hilton staff were great. Everyone was helpful, friendly and courteous. The rooms were always clean and spacious (Tower 2, 11th floor). They have a Fed Ex in the lobby, as well as a Starbucks that is over priced (walk a few blocks and get cheaper coffee/drinks/food at another Starbucks), and the Urban Tavern if you want to grab some drinks or a bite to eat.

There are lots of places to sit in the lobby if you are waiting for a tour pick up or something. Concierge was always helpful! They helped us locate a store to get wine packing boxes from as well as where I could pick up some 49ers stuff that was just a few blocks away, to setting up a town car when we were headed to the Oakland Hilton before flying out.

The hotel is pretty pricey, and I probably would not stay here at their going rate. We used our HH points. I would rather stay somewhere with more "bells and whistles" and a nicer room for the price. But if you're planning to stay here, it's not bad!

I got lost many times in this hotel - and it's not just because I have a bad sense of direction. The Hilton in Union Square is enormous. They often host conferences here just because of its large capacity (and because there is a Starbucks in the lobby that can keep people fueled).

The rooms are standard size, comfy and practical. While the Union Square area can be a bit sketchy at night, there are a lot of great restaurants in the neighborhood (especially Indian eateries), or you can grab a bite at the adjacent Urban Tavern, which also has a really good happy hour.

Berkeley, California, USA

It's on the pricier end, but in exchange you get a great, central location for exploring the city; good service; a nice room and a view of the Bay. Definitely worth the extra cash.

Angeles City, Philippines

It's really convenient location. and for shopping and sightseeing around town. Also it's convenient to go Silicon Valley as San Jose.

Los Angeles, California, USA

Located just 10 minutes walk of the Powell Street BART station, this is the usual Hilton hotel I stay at while in the city. I love the high floor views of the city, Golden Gate bridge and the San Francisco Bay. The bad: no executive lounge!

Belo Horizonte, Brazil

The hotel is located in the heart of San Francisco, around all that you might wish ... good restaurants, great shopping, access to public transportation, museums and much more.
The rooms are confortable, very clean, has excellent beds and sheets and duvets have a great quality. Friendly and attentive staff.
As for parking, prefer those across the streetl which are always half of the price of the hotel´s.

Belo Horizonte, Brazil

It's a good place, near lots of great stores ans Union Square. I enjoyed staying here.

North Las Vegas, Nevada

I left my heart in San Francisco at the Hilton! A 2-story suite with a Grand Piano! Need I say more? A butler kitchen with real size appliances, an ice maker, a table for 12, Views that take your breath away, a veranda only 30 stories up and all the way around, and service like none other. The Spa is warm, welcoming and oh so affordable!! I hope the Golden Sun will shine for me, again!!!

Having spent nearly 2-3 weeks living there, the customer service there was pretty good and cordial. However, their front desk seemed pretty sparse, maybe because there wasn't a huge crowd? Overall, I felt welcomed...

Phoenix, Arizona, USA

This is a huge hotel. Great location for Union Square restaurants and shopping. It's a short couple of blocks walk from a cable car ride on Powell as well.

Napa, California, USA

It's a Hilton, and it's HUUUUUUGE. This is a nice, classic, Hilton in a pretty good location. It's just a few blocks from Union Square. Clean, big, and the service is good.

Beverly Hills, California, USA

Standard, efficient, and clean.

4 goose down pillows
Good size bathroom
$99 a night
Good Thai restaurants around
Starbucks Cafe
Walking distance to Union Square

Next to the Tenderloin
Tourists everywhere
Outdated decor
Too much brass and chandeliers

Don't park at the hotel (which is $45 overnight parking), instead park across the street for $25 instead.

Friendly and helpful staff. Thanks for the Starbucks certificates!

Nothing much to it. Good place to crash and burn.

Hotel is good, very basic, but nothing more than that. Lobby and checkin always have the longest lines ever, the hotel is just too big...
