Upon arrival we received an excellent Diamond check in by Eric, who fully explained our benefits whilst staying at this hotel.

Being a city hotel the room/bathroom are somewhat small and the room is rather dimly lit. The bathroom and bath/shower, although clean could do with a modern makeover and perhaps a newer shower head to give the water as bit more oomph.

There is no 'in room' fridge but the cupboard space is ample and the unit has a large safe box. The TV has a hub gadget so you can watch your own media and there is a USB charging unit on the bedside table.

Valet parking is $50 per night so if you're staying for only a couple of nights you're no worse off than getting a taxi to and from SFO airport.

The hotel is nicely situated, within 1/2 mile of Chinatown, Union Square and Ferry Terminal 1 on the Embarcadero.

Staff were friendly and the bell hops were very efficient.

On the whole I'd stay again.

I typically stay at Hilton properties so there may be bias but no complaints during my stay at the Hilton SF Financial District. Friendly staff, nice accommodations, and is located within walking distance to China town and Fisherman's Wharf. Would stay again.

Definitely better than other Hiltons. It is newer and located in such a fun part of SF adjacent to Chinatown and North Beach and walking distance of you're in comfortable shoes to FinDi. The staff speaks Canto and Mandarin so definitely competitive for all those Chinese tourists or just families who prefer staff that speaks their language.

Got a great deal on a room with a friend since we wanted to go out on Friday night in the city. The room was big, the toiletries were great (Peter Thomas Roth). The room had a great view of Coit Tower and the bay (we were in the 18th floor) and the bed was cozy. I just woke up to the room next door's running water in the shower. Thin walls...I didn't hear any conversations, just the running water in the shower.

There's a gym on the 5th floor too with treadmills, ellipticals, weights and machines, yoga mats and balls!

I like this hotel mostly for the views (Coit Tower and GG Bridge) and the location (chinatown and North Beach). Public transit is reasonably convenient and many city places are easy walk. Rooms are nice, standard Hilton city hotel modern.

Great Location! We were able to explore North Beach and Chinatown, many sights to see well within walking distance.

As for the hotel, it is a pretty standard hilton. Our rooms were clean and the service was good.

A great Hilton with reasonable room rates. One of the few that have an executive lounge. Not to mention the great location, also it is here the opening to Dirty Harry was shot! The restaurant is great as well.

This is a pretty standard Hilton - nice but corporate feeling. It is right at the gateway to Chinatown and North Beach (both only steps away) - so a great location for exploring the city's diversity. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Parking is expensive!

There are a couple of Hiltons in the city, but this one always seems to have great rates (however, the parking here is expensive...but so is most of the parking in hotels like these in the city!).

The lobby is simple but modern and neatly layed out, and they have a nice bar area.

I really like the location - it's right across the street from Chinatown. If you're craving Chinese food, you're at the most convenient location. Just walk a block down to R&G lounge for salt and pepper crab (as seen on Anthony Bourdain) or up the steep hill across the street, for small hole-in-the-walls. You'll find the best dim sum, egg tarts, and little trinket shops here!

It's also conveniently located near the Financial District!

Hilton's are generally speaking pretty nice unless you are in the Hilton in Las Vegas which is just plain weird. I like that Hilton's most often have great rates when you find a deal which isn't on their site. Try Orbitz, Expedia, or Hotels.com or priceline like some folks have mentioned and you will find this place at a great rate.

The San Francisco Hilton is in an especially good part of town if you're traveling for business but not so good if you are leisurely taking a relaxing weekend because it gets to be very 'happening' at night, read loud!

The lobby bar is really nice, and I have more than once stopped by for a drink without even intending to stick around town.

Parking is EXPENSIVE. $$$!!!

Interesting location right at the corner of Chinatown with tons of restaurants within walking distance. Okay facilities in the lobby area, training center could have been a little bigger. Wine bar at the lobby.
