The longest fishing pier on the west coast! Enjoy the ocean air and the cozy cafe at the end of the pier where you can also rent fishing gear yourself.

At 1,971 feet, it is the longest concrete pier on the west coast. Take a walk down to the end and experience getting out in the ocean without getting your feet wet.

Great place to watch surfers, check out the local fishing, eat breakfast at the cafe, and just enjoy the views! This little gem turns 50 this year, and is the longest concrete pier on the West Coast!

Built in 1966, Ocean Beach Pier is the longest concrete structure of its kind on the West Coast, extending 1,971 feet with a T-shape platform at the end. OB Pier has public restrooms, a bait and tackle shop, a cafe, stations for cleaning fish, lights, and benches. There’s a small parking area near the pier with free parking 24 hours a day.

Ocean Beach's slogan is "Keep OB Weird," and that is pretty much typified by the pier. Being a municipal pier, it is open and free to everyone, and it is also one of the only spots I know where you can fish without a license. It's neat being on the pier even if you aren't fishing; there's not a lot of other opportunity to stand 30 feet above the crashing waves, buy ice cream from a shack, or watch the other amateur fisherman pull sea-monsters out of the water.

There's a great beach and the end of the pier, a few tide pools at the southern end, and some great bars to grab something to eat or drink.

This pier provides an excellent view of San Diego and Ocean Beach after a short walk. The fisherman along the pier are entertaining to watch, and we saw one guy that caught and released a baby shark the other day.

Sun and 68-72 degrees 300+ days per year make San Diego Beaches some of the most popular in the U.S. Sunbathe, swim, surf, snorkle, body surf, play beach games. Live Like a Local - sit back, relax and chill. This is why you're visiting San Diego, right?

Beautiful backdrop for a beach pic... Fun walking down the pier, watching surfers surf under the pier. Ocean Beach is also great for people watching around the pier.

Longest Pier on the West Coast. It is a nice place to take a stroll and watch some surfers and body surfers. Great place to fish and they even have a great Cafe on the Pier. Lots of what we call trolls (young wishing they were hippies) and they are mostly harmless, that hang out down underneath the pier. Just ignore them. The Pier is open 24 hours only closes when we get some big waves that come in during the winter and are breaking over the pier.

It's the longest pier in California and there is a restaurant on it. Albeit, not a very good restaurant but it's ok. It's cool to stroll out there and watch the surfers and the fishermen.
