22 stories up and a great view from here into Petco Park so you can watch a baseball game. Good drinks. Turns into a lounge/nightclub on Fridays and Saturdays.

This bar is located on the 22nd level of the Marriott Gaslamp district. The drinks & DJ were decent but the view is magnificent. Altitude offers two views, one of Petco park & Coronado Island, the other of the Gaslamp district. If you're in town, I highly recommend this bar.

Rooftop bar/club. Awesome view. Food and drinks are decent but a bit overpriced

The views alone of the city at Altitude make this lounge worth visiting. Located on an upper floor of the Marriott, Altitude overlooks Petco Park and gives you a birds eye view of the Gaslamp District. It really is a gorgeous view and one that's sure to impress your date.

The drinks are pricey but where are they not expensive downtown? Check out their happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 to 7 PM to save money on food and drinks. At least there's no cover charge!

The fire pits are a nice touch too!

Breathtaking panoramic views to the city, plush seats around a simmering fire-pit, and good drinks keep me coming back to Altitude. While there are a lot of rooftop bars, Altitude is higher, better located, and also overlooks the Padre's stadium -- the stadium lights at night, and the roar of the crowd kick-up the wow factor that much more. The fire-pits are surround by plush comfortable couches that are easy to sink into, especially if you have a date. The music, usually dance music, isn't quiet, but it is more of a background noise and adds to the ambiance.

The premium drinks are quite good, and they offer a variety of signature cocktails. They are considerably pricier than other craft cocktails in town, but there is no door cover. The happy hour makes things more affordable, but it is pretty early in the day.

This rooftop bar overlooks the East Village of San Diego, and specifically Petco Park. The cocktails are made to perfection and it's great if you can get a spot near the fire-pits. It is located inside a hotel and has high-quality staff. Most weekend nights, you will wait in a line outside as there's limited space to wait upstairs, and only so many persons can go up the elevators at a time. Depending on the length of the line, and your desire to go inside, it may be best to move along to some of the other great nightlife options nearby.

Great view of the Petco Park, Harbor, Coronado bridge, Gaslamp & convention center. The Altitude was renovated recently and part of it is an expanded area called City Sights. The view from this side is spectacular especially at night.

Ever been to Standards in Los Angeles? Well, this place feels like it. They have a pool, lounge booths and Christmas lights all around. A romantic roof top for those who wants to escape the craziness of downtown gaslamp, this would be it.

There is no cover, unless there's an event happening on that day. You'll definitely see a bouncer at the bottom checking your ID and escorting you into the elevator. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side and okay on the strongest of alcohol. If you want to escape elsewhere in gaslamp, this would be perfect for you and your lover or friend.

I really like this place on the roof of the Marriott. It's not very big but it's classy, has an excellent view (you can even watch a baseball game from there), no cover charge, and fun music at night.

Rooftop bar with no cover and all day happy hour on Sundays! No dress code either! Absolutely beautiful view of the Coronado Bridge, Petco Park, the Gaslamp, and San Diego Bay. Large gas fire pit and heating lamps. Quiet on a Sunday night, but great place to grab a drink hang out with the bf after dinner in the Gaslamp.

The most stunning views from the sky lounge. The music was good and the drinks were decent. Really hip, trendy crowd and can take up to 45-1 hour on a weekend night to get in unless you make table reservations.

This place has an amazing view of San Diego and a nice rooftop bar. If you are here during a Padres game, try grabbing a seat by the side where you can view Petco Park to watch the game. Good music and good drinks.

Pricey drinks, but spectacular views! Great ADULT thing to do, I'd leave the kiddos at home so you can enjoy this venue!

Altitude rooftop bar is located on top of the Marriott downtown San Diego. No cover, less expensive drinks than other downtown bars and amazing views of Petco Park and the harbor, you can't go wrong. They have a dj. You can see the videos and lights from the street if you can't find it.

Great club on the rooftop. If you stay in the hotel you get direct free access. This included our friends and family members that met us.

My bridesmaids brought me here for my bachelorette party and it was very cool. You go to the rooftop and see the view of downtown San Diego. The decor and very well selected. There seems to sometimes be an Asian Invasion as they call it here. I guess it's okay for me to say it since I'm Asian.

I liked it but would not return, but I see its value during a baseball game, but it is small, and seating is difficult. Drinks during happy hour were of good value but not so much without the aid of happy hour on your side. It does offer a unique point of view of the city, but if you have a friend(as I do) that has an apartment or a condo, the view is the same and of course drinks will be free or much much cheaper. If you don't have said friend then visit it and see for yourself if its your speed, Worse thing you have one drink and leave. No harm, no foul.
