The decorations and ambiance of this place is really great, but it’s very expensive for the quality of food that you get.

Visited here for brunch on a Sunday. Great food- I would like to go back for dinner or lunch some time to try the other items.

Our party ordered 3 items- The Elvis: a waffle with pecans, bacon, bananas, and a peanut butter/banana mouse. It was delicious, but we wish the mouse was more pb, less banana. We also ordered the Queen Street Breakfast- three eggs, toast, tomato slices and choice of meat (we chose apple cinnamon sausage) Very good. Lastly was the Cure- A biscuit with scrambled eggs, two sausages, and tater tots topped with gravy. Delicious, and quite filling.

The setting is quaint, located in an old house converted into a restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating (mostly outdoor.)

Tip: If you're going for brunch, arrive as close to opening (9am) as you can. The place fills up fast.

This is attached to a cafe called Halcyon, so look for that sign instead. They are the same building but have separate menus.

Super delicious burgers, entrees, and other food items. Very good drink selection too. Sister restaurant to Raglan's in Ocean Beach and Bareback Grill in Pacific Beach. This location is classy and menu reflects it. Brunch is also BOMB!!! Get the incredible dessert: Sheila's Guilt (ignore the calories).

There is nothing about Queenstown Public House that is not totally amazing. The old school house that they've decked out to have sheep on the ceiling and random decor all around, is beyond adorable. Thinking about their brunch just makes your mouth water (just imagine fried chicken, tater tots, and gravy in a cast iron pan). They get their coffee from Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, so you will have to take full advantage of the endless flow that your super prompt and social-able waiter will continue to bring you. Hands down, the best brunch place in San Diego.

Queenstown Public House is the sister restaurant to Bare Back Grill in Pacific Beach and Raglan in Ocean Beach. All three restaurants are fair prices and high quality, fresh food. Pictured here is the Queenstown Fave (bottom left) Meso Tasty (bottom right) and the Triple appetizer.

Queenstown makes you feel right at home the second you walk in. Get the beer flight and try six different local selects. Don't forget to check out the sheep on the ceiling!

This is a cute little restaurant and bar in a remodeled house in Little Italy. You almost don't even notice that it's a restaurant and I drove by the first time.

The uniqueness of the restaurant makes it a great place for date night though. There's a good selection of food and drinks and it's easy to find other places to check out in Little Italy after you're finished here. The peach basil sangria is amazing and I'd recommend giving it a try.

FYI: The restaurant is open late, until midnight on the weekends.

This little gem looks like the house of a very trendy grandmother. Love their mixed beer options, especially the raspberry cream.

This place is just flat-out adorable. Housed inside an old Victorian house in Little Italy, this taste of New Zealand is refreshing, homey, and charming all in one. The wraparound deck and pastel colored Adirondack furniture make it feel as though you're at a New England seaside inn; the twinkle lights and mason jar candles feel like Grandma's house in the countryside. The seats outside are park benches brought up to wooden-slat tables, with hanging potted plants and even ceiling fans to keep you cool on hot Indian summer nights (like this one!) Then the menu: with New Zealand inspired items like sliders with pickle relish and lamb and cherry glaze (don't worry, there's grilled chicken and hormone-free beef, too), fresh summer salads, and a lineup of beers with a twist (try the red ale with raspberry framboise - YUM), you'll have a hard time choosing. It didn't hurt that the service was impeccable: friendly, talkative when you wanted them to be, and super attentive. When can I go back?!

This place is adorable! Get a little Queensland fix in the middle of the city (Little Italy). Sit outside, on the large porch, or inside at a table or the beautiful bar. The beer and drink list is great. Try a beer or champagne cocktail. Food is delish. Try a kiwi or lamb burger. You can't go wrong with lots of New Zealand inspired foods. The staff is great and they have free wifi :) Don't miss this hideaway in the city!
