Yodel for dessert. The smoked biscuit smelled like a campfire in the very best way possible, and every bite of the Yodel was like a gastronomical treasure hunt -- you never knew what you were going to find inside the delicate chocolate shell! We decided to split several small plates, and they were all excellent. I absolutely loved the heirloom tomato with "feta ice cream" and the SoCal burrata with plums. We also split the sausage and prawn rigatoni; it was a bit on the al dente side for my taste, but that's totally a personal preference so I can't dock 'em for it :) Again, everything from the food (most important, duh), to the service to the atmosphere and decor lived up to the hype. I went in to this meal feeling skeptical, and left a believer. If you live in San Diego or are even just visiting, you have to put this place on your must-try list!

LOVE this place helmed by Top Chef Alum Richard Biase. Molecular Gastronomy highlights this fantastic and creative menu in the kitchen and behind the bar! Every time I go I have more great things to say about this Little Italy spot. Absolutely not to be missed.

Best restaurant in San Diego. They change up the menu constantly so there's always something new. The biscuit is a perennial favorite of mine. Drinks are fantastic. Make your reservations early -- preferably a week or two in advance for two, or earlier for larger parties.

Looking for a unique happy hour or better yet, a dinner that's over the top creative and surprising? The culinary wizardry of Chef Richard Blais has found a home on the West coast after his triumphs in Atlanta and on the Food Channel. Give yourself plenty of time to savor the presentations and textures.
