This tour is highly recommended for the food, the sites, the guide and the company. We did the Twilight Trastevere Food Tour and we enjoyed it a lot. Trastevere is a great local neighborhood to explore and the food is just fantastic. We were so full when we finish but we can't stop eating. It's so delicious.

Did the Trastevere tour with my wife. Our guide was Sarah who was great. The tour was really good - stopped at 10 different spots - local cafe's food stores, restaurants to eat a bite or two. Skip the breakfast if you go for this tour - you will not be hungry after this. Sarah was lively, the restaurant and store owners friendly and food was great.

I suggest that all newcomers to Rome do this tour during their first few days. All the basics of Roman cuisine from pasta dishes to suppli' are covered in this fun tour. It takes place in Testaccio, a beautiful but lesser visited neighborhood. You get to try the renowned Giolitti without the crowds of its Centro Storico location, as well as taste some sweet meats and cheeses at the famous Volpetti deli. The hosts are really fun and energetic, ready to answer any questions about Rome.

Highly recommended.

I can't say enough good things about this tour! So glad we did it!

After 10 days in the Italian countryside, we ended our honeymoon in Rome. Arriving at 3:30 in the afternoon, we knew we would want to take it easy our first night, so we booked the Eating Italy tour of Trastevere on a friend's recommendation, as we were also staying in an airbnb in Trastevere, making it quite convenient.

You're walking through one of the best foodie areas of Rome for about four hours in total. You stop in approximately 6-9 places for various tastings of food and drink. The locations can change depending upon restaurant/bar/merchant availability, but for our tour, we sampled: burrata, canteloupe, prosciutto, and prosecco at Da Enzo; wine and antipasti in the ancient cellar of Spirito di Vino; suppli, formaggi, pizza, three different types of Roman pastas, and two scoops of gelato from Fatamorgana. Our tour guide also took us off the foodie path and showed us a vintage farmaceria in town that is preserved from the earlier part of the 20th century (currently run by monks). There are no more than 10 people on the tour, making it great for conversation with people from across the world. They are very accommodating of vegetarians as well.

Again, we could not recommend this experience enough. A must if you are in Rome and love food!

My husband and I went on this tour for both the evening and lunch tour. It was amazing. The food was great and they took you places that were off the beaten path. You got to eat as the Romans do and see where they hang out as well. I highly recommend it!!

Awesome tour. The food is fabulous and there is plenty of it. The tour takes place in this amazing neighborhood away from all the crowds of tourists. Many great stories and tons of fascinating sites that I didn't have any idea existed as they're not in my guidebook.
