Roatan is a diver's paradise--surrounded by an amazing, healthy reef and high quality/low cost dive shops. There are a few beautiful beaches on the island too--West Bay being the highlight, with great snorkeling too--and sights like botanical gardens, iguana farms, canopy tours, and swimming with dolphins. Most independant travelers stay in the community of West End, which is inhabited by lots of expats. There are a few all-inclusives on Roatan too.

Roatan is famous for its diving and snorkling. Its been built up a bit since I first came here, but is still nice. While technically part of Honduras, culturally the Bay Islands are caribbean islands, with an english-speaking, Afro-Caribbean flare.

Roatan, like the rest of the Bay Islands, provides visitors with an amazing vacation alternative and is said to be much like the eastern Caribbean was before commercialization took place.

The island has an incredible amount to offer guests; superb scuba diving and snorkeling, tours of the island, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, exploring vast mangrove alleys, zip-line tours, water sports and stunning beaches like West Bay.

There are restaurants, hotels, resorts and vacation rentals to suit every type of traveler and all of these make certain that every guest is treated to a wonderful island experience.

So, whether you're visiting us as a diver, explorer, party animal or simply
just to be, we're certain that you are going
to have the best vacation ever.
