Nice place to shop and eat. It goes a little down hill during the late winter months but summer it is a happening place.

Redmond Town Center is an outdoor mall with some standard shops and some unique ones. it has a bajillion restaurants (good for when on the road) including one of the best Indian Restaurants in the Puget sound. It also has a Movie Theater that is pricey per ticket, but you get a lounge chair, wait service for food, and a blankie.

This mall had potential in the beginning. Those of us who live in Redmond were very excited about the beautiful, creative shops that opened there. Now they have typical 'made in China' type of stores that are everywhere in the country. And even in the worst economy the mall management has continued to raise rent so that only stores that sell cheap 'made in China' quality products could consider renting there but many of them didn't make it either. Consequently there are empty store fronts. Good planning I say sarcastically. Even Macy's doesn't carry their higher end products at the Redmond Town Center. Although to be fair, quality or 'high end' doesn't usually apply to Macy's at all although their Bellevue Square store has a much better selection and some quality and higher end products. Unfortunately there is nothing at all creative left anymore at the Redmond Town Center, just the typical and very, very boring small selection of the low end products at the 'same old, same old' type of mall. And honestly why shop there when you can drive 10 to 15 minutes and go to Bellevue Square where they have a much bigger variety of the same kind of stuff. If Redmond continued to have the same shops they had originally, it would have become a favorite 'go to' place for those in and out of state. Except for one thing. Although they advertise that they are a non-smoking mall, they never enforce it. I have talked with many smokers whom I have reminded that it is a non-smoking mall who said security walked right by them and did nothing. The Town Center does not even enforce the Washington State non- smoking in public places law let alone enforce their own non-smoking policy. The state law says no smoking within 25 feet of any door or any area where smoke can drift and enter into a door, window or ventilation system. So therefore, there should be no area where a person can smoke at the Redmond Town Center. I have brought this up multiple times with security and they say when they see someone smoking they 'politely' let them know it is a non-smoking area. But many smokers deny that claim as I mentioned above. As well, it is a STATE LAW, so it should be FIRMLY, not politely, enforced, just like they would firmly enforce the law not to steal. Can you imagine them politely asking a thief not to steal and to please return the item. Heavens, don't want to offend anyone. Although many have profusely thanked me for speaking up, most people are too shy or afraid to ask someone to stop smoking. And in some ways I don't blame them. I politely told a man who was smoking a cigar that it was a non-smoking mall and he and his wife harassed me for an entire block. If you think road rage is scary, try dealing with smokers' rage. In all fairness there have been a very considerate few who apologize that they did not realize it was non-smoking and put out their cigarettes. But why do people not know that it is a non-smoking mall? Because their are only 2 signs that I know of that seem strategically placed, it seems to me, where one would not notice them. They need signs on every block, they need enforcement. Again why shop there when one could go to Bellevue Square where there is absolutely no smoking? Statistics show that it is usually the lower end of economic spectrum that smokes. So by offending the people who have the money the mall is shooting itself in the foot by allowing smoking, which they do even though they claim they don't, I go down maybe 3 times a week, sometimes 4 and every time I am down there I run into several smokers in my half an hour to an hour stint. So if you multiply that out, there must be smokers all the time. Redmond Town Center needs to get a backbone and clean this up now.

There is nothing interesting here and no reason to go. Just a bunch of big box stores and mall chains.

This is a fantastic hotel to stay in if you are going to Redmond, Bellevue, Woodinville, or even Seattle. There are many things to do in and around the hotel. In the Summertime, there is also an Open Market which is just darling. I don't usually use that word "darling", however that is the only word I can think of for this market. Flowers, Food, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, Jams, Plants, Homemade Arts and Crafts, Kettle Corn, are just a few things you'll find at the Saturday Redmond Farmer's Market.

This is a nice, clean outdoor shopping mall with a selection of food options. I don't necessarily think of it as a destination unless targeting one of the larger stores (e.g. Bed Bath & Beyond or REI), but going on a Saturday has the added benefit of the Redmond Saturday Market.
