Known as the adventure capital of the world - and with good reason - Queenstown is the quintessential lakefront town with something for everyone. Thrill seekers will never be bored with a myriad of options from which to choose: sky-diving, bungee jumping, cliff swinging, jet boating, paragliding, hang-gliding, the list goes on. Visitors with a tamer view of life can take wine tasting tours, go horseback riding, sail on Lake Wakatipu in the 100-year-old steam boat, or ride the famous gondola up the mountain (with a luge ride option) for spectacular views. After dark, hit the nightlife scene and join pub crawls, sip cocktails in the ice bars, or dance the night away at clubs. For a small town with a big city feel, Queenstown is your destination - and many stay longer than they originally intended.

Queenstown - The adventure capital of the world! The birthplace of bungy jumping and the home to jet boating, white water rafting, skiing, mountain biking and every other adventure activity you can think of. Not the adventurous type - there are walks, wineries, stunning scenery, shopping, great restaurants, hip bars and some of the best scenery going.

Queenstown is a must visit place in South Island of New Zealand. It is the tourist center of the country, but offers a lot of activities. If you like outdoor sports, you'd love it here. Also the view of the lake district is absolutely stunning. You can look down the view from the hill on a sunny day; you'll fall in love with the city. A lot of cool bars to hang out as well.
