This exclusive & luxurious hotel is located near the Czech Parliament in an 18th-century palace. All 8 rooms are remarkably decorated on an Art Nouveau style.

If you have any wiggle room in your travel budget, splurge on a night or two at the Alchymist Grand Hotel! This place feels like a castle straight out of a fairy tale. Gold accents throughout the hotel glisten off the sparkling white marble floors and the lush textiles and furniture will transport you to Baroque-era Prague. Oh and you'll literally be in the shadow of Prague Castle. Swoon.

Walking into the Alchymist, I was bowled over by the sheer opulence of the whole place. From the cool, leafy gardens to the lavish lounge filled with artwork, everything has been thought through to the smallest detail. Despite the place being so luxurious, staff are friendly and easy-going. All the rooms are enormous and filled with antique furniture and lush textiles, right alongside modern fittings in the bathrooms. There’s also a lavish spa downstairs - even the pool has a chandelier over it, and lounging on the antique Chinese wedding beds after a relaxing treatment will make you feel like a queen. The whole hotel might be consciously completely over the top, but for a honeymoon or other special trip you really can't beat it.

Whoa. This is some Baroque bling. The Alchymist is not a small hotel and there’s something to catch your eye in nearly every corner. There’s a plethora of public spaces, one even hosts afternoon wine and cheese tastings for the guests; another a cozy bar. After traversing these spaces to get to your room, the décor should come as no surprise. The deluxe rooms can be a bit on the smaller side, so if you’d like to spread out, ask for a larger one, or upgrade to a junior suite or family room. There’s a small café when you first enter the hotel premises, followed by an outdoor courtyard and then the hotel proper. There’s an excellent Italian/Mediterranean restaurant here, as well as a lush spa, fitness center and swimming pool.

Great location right around the corner from the Charles Bridge. Beautiful old building with a large comprehensive spa. Couples massage was great and reasonably priced for hotel standards. Staff was very friendly and I recommend the airport transfer. It's convenient and the new BMW 750 i was super comfy.

Stunning! Luxury abounds at the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa. Statues, elaborate décor, historical common rooms which act nearly as museums, courtyards, gardens and a maze of a spa located in underground chambers, will surely take your breath away. The service is impeccably attentive and international, while the hotel offers wine tasting occasions during which guests can mingle. The restaurant is lavish, while the rooms offer TVs with DVD players. Wifi access and PC stations are in the building. The spa offers a gym, sauna, pool, fruit and salad bar, Thai massages, pedicures and even swimming fish under a mini and candle lit bridge you can peacefully stroll along. From the outside to the inside, this hotel is sure to captivate your attention. Ideally located, it offers romantic strolls and easy access to the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and any other of the notable sights of Prague.
