This is the place to go for a walk or a jog in downtown Portland. On weekends, there are markets and festivals lined up along the promenade. Unfortunately, there's a pretty big homeless population as well.

Be sure and google what's going on in Portland to see the events that can be scheduled there or just great for walking and eating at.

It is very pretty, you can see all the bridges and they are great. I was visiting during the Rose Festival and Fleet Week!! It was very busy but if you don't mind crowds stop and take a look.

A park on the waterfront in downtown Portland popular for locals, business folk, homeless and tourists. During day can be a fun spot to hang a little sketchy at night with many homeless who can be obtrusive in your space asking for money.

People watching anywhere around this park is always fun and entertaining. City view on one side and river view on the other. While still being able to picknick if you want in the grassy areas along side this 30+ acre park.

A rather grim stretch of waterfront park that passes under the many bridges of Portland. It is not a quiet place to come and relax given the proximity of the downtown area and busy streets. Its redeeming feature are the activities which go on here, not least the weekend markets at the northern end.

Tom McCall Waterfront Park is the heart of Portland Adventure from the infamous 2015 Red Bull Flugtag to every festival that features the taste of the Pacific Northwest from the Bite to Craft Brewfest. It's just a signature gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

Went to a free orchestra concert here last week, and it was brilliant. Complete with cannons and fireworks during and after the show. It wasn't too crowded, but I wouldn't want to go when it is.

When I'm in Portland I love to walk the main trail of Waterfront Park. It's best to go at dawn or dusk and enjoy the soft light and warm colors reflected on the river. Work up a sweat or lounge a bit and watch dragon boaters, scullers, kayakers, and even working ships on the waterway.

Tom McCall Waterfront Park is located in downtown Portland and runs along the Willamette River between the Steel and Hawthorne bridges. It is the spot for many local events in town like the Bite of Oregon. This is essentially the Seattle Center equivalent in Portland without the Space Needle and KeyArena.

It is a great place for a stroll anytime of the day. It is a well taken park with a great view in all directions. If you are downtown and shopping is not your thing, I would suggest visiting Tom McCall Waterfront Park to pass the time instead. It is a perfect place to get lazy.

Nice waterfront park. Parking was pretty easy to find on the weekend. Too many geese and geese poop, though.

Beautiful Park along the Willamette River. Walk, rent a bike, jog. Also where many of our festivals are held.

Love the waterfront park in Portland! In the summer everyone comes out for the festivals in the park along the waterfront. Sometimes the lines can be long but overall Portland is not terribly crowded for a city. In fact the park is sometimes even better when there are no festivals on and you can enjoy the waterfront in peace and quiet.

This long, narrowish park on the west side of the Willamette River is a fantastic place for strolling, people-watching, bridge-viewing, or having a picnic on a beautiful day - or on a day when the cherry blossoms are blooming. During the summer, there often are also events, markets, and street performers in this park - and it's always close to Saturday Market.

It's a great place for jogging and having a wonderful view of Portland and the Willamette River. On one side you're in downtown Portland and on the other side, you have the view of the river and bridges.

Lining the banks of the Willamette River, the Tom McCall Waterfront Park (referred to almost exclusively as "Waterfront" stretches for miles along the easternmost edge of downtown Portland. It's a great place to cycle, jog, or picnic, and many of the city's best summer festivals are held here. Traveling carnivals set up shop at the park every May and June for Cinco de Mayo and the Rose Festival, respectively.

Lovely waterfront walking or biking park along the Willamette River. Just minutes from the Ginkgo house streetcar or bus.

Great place to go for a run or bike ride, from downtown you can do a nice loop that takes you across the bridges on a dedicated walk, bike path. Even more beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Great view of the city from the opposite side of the river.
