nicely spacious, open, modern and bright-- and there's a bar that offers good weekday-only deals on several of Wine Spectator's favorite picks. Rooms are clean and no frills. Guests are only a few blocks from Independence Mall, the National Constitution Center and even two of Philadelphia's best independent cinema houses, Ritz East and Ritz Five. There are a handful of excellent restaurants close by, including Amada, Buddakan and Fork (make reservations several days in advance for Amada and Buddakan if you are planning on Friday or Saturday dining).

Quiet hotel very close to old city historic sites, nightlife and the waterfront.

It's a small hotel with 4 floors. Everything is very standard. Rooms are clean. Service is average. Just the basic hotel thing. It's good enough.

But it seems like the cleaning service is a little bit too loud. It feels like they are crushing the wall from the room next door. And I found stains and dirt in the corner of our room.

Great for exactly what I'm here for, conferences! I haven't had an opportunity to eat at the hotel outside of what was provided at the conference; however, I found lots of vegan options in walking distance.

This is a decent hotel in a great location. It's set right in the middle of Society Hill on a cobblestone lane that is an easy stroll to South Street, much of Philly's historical sites, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The building itself is old and feels dated, although the rooms themselves are nice and the beds are super comfy. They have a decent fitness center and a small pool as well. Nothing super memorable, but did the trick.

This hotel is tucked off in a corner of cobblestone streets in Old City. When looking from the outside in, I assumed that it would be a bit dark and cozy inside. I was totally wrong, as the hotel has an atrium and gets some great light. The staff was really kind, and they went over and beyond to help. The room I was in was a suite and it was nice – very masculine in décor with a brown leather couch– and cozy. There aren’t many suites available in this particular Sheraton, so it’s important to make sure you book way ahead of time if you are looking for one. There’s an indoor pool with a glass ceiling, so tons of sun gets through and it’s probably a great place to go for a swim, not just in the summer, but on a sunny wintry day as well. A pop-up Starbucks is located in the lobby and there’s a bar restaurant area called “Taste.” I didn’t eat there, but while sitting in the lobby, I watched as a large group dined, and they all looked like they were enjoying what was in front of them.

Best hotel swimming pool in Philadelphia, hands down! The glass-enclosed rooftop pool deck is enormous, sunny, clean and almost too inviting. Who'd want to go see the Liberty Bell when you could hang here? And, oh by the way, this hotel is near perfectly located for visiting those historic attractions in town. Also, very nice lobby, restaurant and lobby bar. I didn't care for the exterior of this hotel and was put off by the busy renovation construction going on during my visit. Incidentally, there were union protestors picketing outside because the hotel had hired out-of-town contractors to get around local prices. I'm a big supporter of local business, so this was a black mark for me. I'm sure things will be nicer here once the construction is done, but I still don't see the property "wow"ing me over 3 stars.

Just a short walk form the historical sites in the Society Hill part of Philly. Great lobby and bar for socializing. Hotel is just in the last phase of remodeling. Super party pool. Also a fitness room and a separate weight room.
