A number of festivals are held downtown each year - seafood lovers should make a point to visit during the Pensacola Seafood Festival in September. The Panhandle does not follow the same weather pattern that the rest of the country expects from Florida (i.e. warm, hot, and hotter). If you travel to the area in the winter, you might even need a coat ... Read more
(gasp!), as temperatures really drop at night. The high season begins in April and lasts throughout the dog days of summer when rising temperatures and high humidity make a dip in the Gulf of Mexico seem pretty enticing. White sands, blue waters and a homely feel. This is a great place to go and visit - gay or straight. Pensacola memorial gay weekend is an amazing festival.. Last weekend in may! Musicians from around the states, clubbing and the biggest beach party you'll see. It's a really friendly and welcoming place. Make your reservations early if you want a hotel, but you can do it cheaply by camping on the beach.

A sleepy beach town in the Florida panhandle, Pensacola boasts some of the nicest beaches in northern Florida. Plus, the abundance of white sands and less tourists ensures a nice, relaxing day at the beach.

Pensacola Village, white sand beaches and a downtown area with art galleries, restaurants, and cultural venues.Beaches are white like granulated sugar, neon blue water, Pensacola was inhabited by Native American peoples thousands of years before the historical area. The historical era begins with the arrival of Spanish exlorers in the 16th century. Alot to learn about and enjoy-one of my top favorite places
