Pattaya Holidays

Of all of Thailand’s major tourist cities, Pattaya is one of the most distinctive; for decades one of Pattaya’s primary tourist attractions was its, ahem, rather carnal and randy services, but recently Thailand has made an effort to reform and foster the city’s respectability. Families can now enjoy being bedazzled by the unique and mysterious ... Read more
attractions at Ripley’s Believe-it-or-Not. Or, spend a day at Pattaya’s world-class golf courses, its impressive aquarium or take a Thai cooking course. To relax after all that stress, you can get a professional (and chaste) rubdown by a Thai masseuse, often found combing Pattaya's beaches. Take a ferry to Coral Island, where you can enjoy a delicious seafood lunch on the beach and get wonderful views of coral reef by way of a glass bottom boat. Pattaya’s nightlife is still a highlight on Walking Street and in Pattayaland, with hundreds of bars, go-go bars, and clubs. Hotels range from soulless high-rises to lush beachfront resorts like Centara Grand Mirage, but all are priced to fill up quickly.

plenty of blue skies between November and April, although be prepared to be one among many tourists during this time. Thailand is a pretty affordable destination, so getting slightly cheaper hotel rates (and fewer crowds) in exchange for unpredictable weather -- which includes street-flooding monsoons -- from May through October is probably not worth it for many.

I had to come here for a work conference and thought I'd already visited the most revolting place in the world when I went to Las Vegas - but this plumbs new depths. If you're covered with tattoos, you're names Sharky and you're on the run from armed robbery charges, you'll fit right in. Never has such a few days felt like such a long time. Awful, awful place.

Pattaya is a beach resort and a party town. The seafood there was amazing, biggest oysters I have eaten.

2 hours South of Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand, protected waters, a sprawl of Bars, Hotels and nightlife, largest occupancy of non Thai with all the trimmings of succession Golf Courses, Spa, Resorts. With the Paradise comes scrubbers so there are many pickled people but you can't have your cake and eat it too..

pretty well the wild wild west haa haa .. Affectionately called the Sin City of Thailand, it's simply was a seas side resort for locals until the days of the vietnam was and the US marines started using the area for R&R. Within a few years it was bars and bar girls everywhere. Today it's the largest community of non Thai residents with miles of gold courses and party bars .. it's Paradise baby

Bangkok

Have not been for some years (now overdue for a visit) its a confusing destination in that its the sin city of Thailand with so many beer bars and boys wanted boozing fun night outs with gogo bars and the like yet it's also the place that attracts so many people for the sense of adventure as it seems anything goes .. walking street is fascinating and some excellent seaside restaurants

Pattaya is one of the best places to visit I'm Thailand. It has a bad wrap but bottom line is it has some of the best places to eat and party!

I visited Pattaya more than ten years ago and found it to be sleazy, annoying and not especially clean. It might have changed since then, but I won't care to revisit.
