Hidden hotel in the Place des Vosges with a romantic courtyard that's covered in greenery all the way up to the windows of the bulding. The façade if the hotel is so charming some curious tourists come to snap pictures of it. The lobby of the hotel has an elegant sitting area with suede and silk chairs and a few magazines as well as a luxurious salon and a seperate room for a bar (warning drinks are expensive here). The location is lovely with a park in front and art galleries and chic restaurants like Cafe Pouschkin all around. History lovers would appreciate visiting Victor Hugo's house for free entry a few doors down! This is an ideal place to stay at for those art connaisseurs!

Right off the über-chic Place des Vosges (the oldest square in Paris), this gorgeous hotel is perfect for visitors keen to enjoy Paris in the most luxurious of ways. There's a lovely courtyard full of greenery to relax in out front, as well as two cosy sitting rooms full of books and plush furniture where you can help yourself to an apéritif in the afternoons. Rooms are comfortable, ornately decorated and equipped with bathtubs. They are quiet too as the hotel is set a little way back from the busy Place. There's a fitness room, a jacuzzi and even a spa in the basement - to relax after a day of sight-seeing. The décor is gorgeous and everything is designed to make visitors as comfortable as possible.

Ask for a room on 1st or 2nd floor; rooms on the 4th floor tend to be dark and small. Do take advantage of the peaceful and relaxing courtyard.

Hotel Pavillon de la Reine is special. You enter in via a discreet entrance on Place des Vosges. There's a great garden outside, where you can have drinks and conversation with friends--basically a private café. There's also a chill-out space for reading. It's a great place to stay if are with a large group of people who love old Paris.

Truly lovely hotel. Incredibly expensive, though.
