Great property.
Well maintained and managed.
Very efficient staff from valets to front desk to housekeeping.
Rooms are clean and well maintained.
We were here for a family trip, college graduation.
Regency Club had a great selection of breakfast items and specialty coffees. Nice indoor and outdoor seating selections.
Great way to start the morning before spending all day at the parks.
This large, upscale hotel is grand, to say the least. Walking in, the first thing that stood out to me was the huge, bright entrance. It was sleek, but the nice indoor plants added a special warmth. I noticed a beautiful patio area in the back, and a live red parrot perched inside (very cool.) Be sure to check out the complimentary champagne at front desk!
I cannot say enough about the rooms. Spacious, with of clean lines and super sleek wood paneling. I was actually most impressed by the bathroom, which had some of the most unique décor I have ever seen (almost futuristic but still, super chic.) If you want to savor some of the best Orlando has to offer on the culinary side of things, visit Hemingway’s restaurant – you won’t regret it. Wonderful hotel.
One of the nicest hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in, largely but not exclusively, because of the grounds around the hotel. You can go horseback riding, take the walking trails, play golf, the activities are boundless! No visit to Orlando is complete without a stay at the Grand Cypress!
I really enjoyed this hotel is closer to universal and city walk, but the area is full of places to eat, walk, play, and shop. I enjoyed it every much... they have hotel kids/family activities within the hotel too such as wii nights by the pool area. They have trails, paddle boat, and mini goal right on the property. One of the days I was there, we just explored the hotel itself, but it's still only a short drive from all the Disney stuff.
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a masterpiece. The displays in the lobby are phenomonal!!!
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a resort near Disney. You will be easily overwhelmed by the hotel's abundant amenities - multiple pools with water slides, artificial beach and lake with various water sport facilities, golf course, tennis courts, rock climbing wall and numerous good restaurants on site. The hotel is almost an attraction itself. Everything is well maintained and very enjoyable. Most facilities open 24/7 so you can come back to your hotel to wind down after a long day at the theme parks.
The rooms are pretty standard and nothing too fancy. Bed was comfortable. The bathtub is a bit small but who cares about bubble bath when there are so many nice jacuzzi outside? Service was good as far as I can tell. The hotel staff was very accommodating. I was able to call ahead have my room ready for my early check in.
Given the size of the hotel I really think there should really be better signs and maps around. There were nothing indicating the self parking lot and front lobby which was rather strange. There were also some hiccups with the hotel room keys. I wish they could simply the logistic though. A key for room, a key for parking and a key for towel for each guest? That's just a bit obsessive.
