This city is very attractive for tourists in summer. But in the winters tourists come to celebrate chrismas too! This city's beaches with fireworks, chocolate and soup festivals are so beautiful and alive!

Its name means “beautiful place by the sea,” and indeed Ogunquit offers a relatively rare indulgence amid Maine’s rocky coastline: a long stretch of white sand. Readers commended it for being pedestrian-friendly and for welcoming both girlfriend getaways and LGBT travelers. While summer is the peak season here, some of the great draws last well beyond Labor Day. Visitors can enjoy shows at the renowned summer-stock Ogunquit Playhouse and fresh lobster rolls from local favorite Footbridge Lobster through the end of October. To understand why the town also ranked well for being mellow, book one of the white clapboard cottages at the Dunes on the Waterfront, open from March through October.

Anchorage By The Sea has the most amazing scenic view. The reception area is very welcoming with a beautiful fireplace and the extremely helpful and friendly staff won me over from the moment I walked in. We stayed in a room with the fireplace which was extremely large and had 2 seating areas along with a queen size bed. The area is just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. Granted there are a lot more activities and restaurants open in the summer but the winter time brings a peacefulness and calm effect to the area. There is a restaurant right down the street called Jonathan's that is perfect for a drink at the bar or an amazing nutritional dinner with home grown vegetables..
