The only good things going for Madison Square Garden are convenience and fame. It's a miserable concert venue with bad acoustics and infrastructure that can't really accommodate the crowd. It does attract great shows but anything near Penn Station is hell.

MSG, the Mecca of all concert halls. Nothing gets better or bigger than this.

MSG, or simple the Garden, is the oldest sports arena in NYC. It sits atop Penn Station and is home to the Knicks and the Rangers. All major concert tours stop here; Billy Joel even has a monthly residency here. The sound in the arena is great. It would even be one of the better larger venues to see a concert if it weren't for the tight hallways and the chaos that always follows when everyone tries to exit after a show.

I came here with my boyfriend to watch the Knicks game. The food is very expensive and not that great. I guess you're paying for the atmosphere. Also, you can only buy 1 drink at a time and they stop serving alcohol after half time is over.

Came here to see the Devils take on the Rangers. Beautiful and well kept up building with great service to fans, even away team fans like us. Let's go Devils!

I love Madison Square Garden! What a staple for New York. If you've never been you should definitely at least buy a cheap ticket to an event to just check out the spot and newly renovations!

Awesome venue for a show! Enjoy live music by the top musicians, they also have bars on every level so you can get your drink on.

A bit long in the tooth, but still a great place to watch the Knicks lose or to catch a concert. With a subway station, directly below, it's a breeze to get to.

Nice venue for a concert, not as big as other basketball arenas I've been to! Anywhere in the building you have a good seat! It is very organized and the staff get you in and out without a hassle. When the shows over, you're in the heart of NYC!!

I was in Madison Square Garden to see a Knicks NBA game and it was amazing. It is impressive how they manage to get everyone in so fast and how they can serve everyone without a single line with so many bars and restaurants, it's a whole experience.
