For an extra cost, visitors can also enjoy super-sized feature films at the IMAX theater or explore our universe at the Rose Center for Earth and Space planetarium.

I LOVE the AMNH, one of my favourites. We spent about 3.5 hours here but I could have stayed longer . The space auditorium experience was amazing, never experienced anything like it. I would go back time and time again and still find something new to interest me

American Museum of Natural History is a must see institution for all families. It's probably best seen over two days as it's huge and very popular

So much to learn from this museum. My favorite is the cavemen exhibit and the solar exhibit.

Great for kids and science and nature lovers of all ages! We love the butterfly exhibit (hands-on!), the Dinosaurs and the Planetarium shows. They also have fantastic science movies.

Pro tip: the admission fee is just a suggested donation, so budget travelers should go up to the desk and donate whatever you feel is appropriate/what you can afford. Really cool if you like animals.

We love this Museum, a lot of walking though so be prepared! We usually can't see the whole place in one visit and the waiting in line to get in can be hectic sometimes

Since I was a child I've always loved coming the museum of natural history to see the dinosaurs lol... Recently (during the first week of January) I've gone and enjoyed the butterfly exhibit ☺️

This place is my favorite location second to Cloisters. Budget friendly as you can pay what you can afford at ticket counter (online tickets are around 20+ usd) Recommend that you pick a great soundtrack, plop headphones in, and wander this vast museum taking in everything. It was honestly the most breathtaking experience listening to classical scores wandering about alone. ❤️❤️

This is the best place to go on a date or spend on a rainy day. Theres so much things to see. If you're planning to see the whole museum, I highly suggest you start early in the day.

Definitely worth going, but plan to spend a lot of time here. It's a big museum and if you want to read about the items it can take a while. I spent 3 hours and barely got through a quarter of the museum.

Absolutely love this place! From the cultural exhibits to the regional mammal exhibits. This museum has dinosaur fossils and a beautiful outer space exhibit. This place has been amazing and just gets better every year!

An absolute must-see for the curious types! I've lived near the museum all my life and every visit is enjoyable.

It's also a suggested donation, great for anybody on a budget.

I totally loved it! And honestly it was one of the best museums I was in my life! I just wished I had a more time because we spend there half of the day and it wasn't enough. The only one bad thing I would mentioned is that it's not totally clear where to go so you don't miss anything. Sometimes happened that we walked from one exhibition to another and then somehow back.
