My personal favorite pizza place in NYC. Stroll up and down Bleecker street to eat your heart out! The pizzas are consistently delicious, hot, and fresh ready in under 20 minutes each time. The location which has 2 sides to it maintains the old skool charm and decor of a small pizza joint.

This spot has the best Pizza that I've had in NYC!!! Super Delicious. Also I had a friend tell me there are a lot of good music venues in this area too!

A hole in the wall old school pizza joint. Unfortunately the pizza is below average. The crust is decent but the cheese and toppings let the pie down.
Also the pasta dishes like manicotti are something you'd find in the frozen food section of the supermarket.

This was my first meal in NY and a VERY close second to Grimaldi's in Brooklyn to being my favorite pizza. We had to wait outside for about 20 min to get in but it was worth it. The pizza was large and generous for the three of us and perfectly crispy with a generous variety of toppings (although additional toppings are SO pricey).

Service was quick and delish once we got in. The pizza is def worthy of the great NY pizza title.

Come for the view. No, really...come for the view...the view inside that is. But stay for the food.

We stumbled upon this pizzeria just looking for a quick bite to eat, and what a stumble. Located in an old church on West 44th, it's close enough to all of the action, but it's not a tourist trap, like many of the restaurants in the area.

Enjoy your pizza right out of the coal fired brick oven, sit back, and enjoy the view...from inside.

Not to ruin an iconic NYC movie with a spoiler, but an iconic moment in Woody Allen's "Manhattan" happens here. The pizzeria also features tons of pictures of celebrities who have visited the restaurant, which only sells their famous cheesy creations by the pie (no slices!).

Pizza, it's not a complicated dish, so why can't everyone make it like John's Pizzeria? Hot, bubbly, gooey, tomatoey, it balances all the right flavors and textures. It's the pizza I dream about. Now there are a number of good pizza places in the city that are head and shoulders above what you can get outside, but within the princes of pizza in NYC, John's is the KING.

Loud and busy...just like the city! Pizza was good. location is great! Get there early to get a table, or do a late lunch. The wall mural is nice. The menu seems pretty typical, and the service was good. Note - seems to be a touristy place, lots of groups of kids....but if I was in the area, I would go back.

Classic NYC staple. Best crispy thin crust pizza in Manhattan with plenty of toppings to choose from.

I haven't tried all of the pizza places in NYC but this is my favorite so far. What I think of as quintessential NY pizza.

GREAT NY-style pizza. They don't serve it by the slice and there's always a line (of locals), so you know it's good!

John's is another one of New York City's best pizzeria's and it's right in the heart of Greenwich Village. This is usually my go to place whenever I'm in New York. I think the location makes it a great choice if it's your first New York pizza and you don't want to venture out too far.

John’s is my favorite New York-style pizza in the city. They only sell whole pies, so bring a hungry friend (you should have no trouble finishing off every slice).

John's Pizzeria is the best for pizza. Don't be surprised if there's a line outside - it's worth the wait!
