I love the modern ramen. Tons of flavor. The pork buns are great too! Definitely a must try.

This is a delicious ramen restaurant, but it's a little over hyped and overpriced. However, it's still great, but it's just gotten too much acclaim and it's very popular. Expect a wait here. We came late night on a weekday and our wait time was less than usual. I think about 30 minutes. When we were finishing our meal, Steve Aoki and his crew came in. Expect a hip vibe inside.

I liked the 52nd st location better, but this is still damn good Raman. They're open late, which definitely satisfies on a cold night.

Ventured over here with my uncle and cousin and can definitely say it was one of the best ramen I've had in my life.

We got a bit lucky and only had to wait 15/20 min when people will wait over an hour or more to get a taste of this iconic ramen spot.

This place is AMAZING. Go go go! The famous pork buns don't dissapoint and neither does the ramen. Service is quick and so friendly! Such a great atmosphere and experience. Will be coming again.

I recently went back to Ippudo to try their famed Ramen and was disappointed by my experience. I came alone and expected a wait as there is often a line. I was seated fairly quickly at one of the common tables and studied their menu. The pork bun was definitely on my list, but I decided to give the Shoyu Wasabi a try. The services was pretty straight forward, nothing spectacular to report.

The pork bun was exceptional, still one of my favorites amongst all the legendary pork buns out there. The Shoyu Ramen, not so much. The flavors did not blend as well as I hoped and I found the noodles to be too limp an unsubstantial.

I don't think I'll come back here for the Ramen, I wonder if they mind if I just ordered several orders of the Pork buns.

The best best best noodles in town. It's actually the broth that's the star.

One spoonful of the silky, creamy, rich broth at Ippudo forever changed the idea of Ramen for me. After years of devouring cheap instant noodles throughout college (OK...still at times) I never realized that ramen could be a truly refined, elevated dish as it is here. The pork buns are also amazing. It's perfect for a rainy day. There's always a long wait, so I recommend trying to get there right when it opens for dinner to get your name in.

I find this place to be overrated. Thankfully went their for an early lunch so didn't have to deal with a long wait.

The wait is always forever, but the ramen broth is excellent and the pork buns are mindblowingly delicious.

Awesome Restaurant with awesome ramen. The rib is a must try. You can also see the machine that is used to make the ramen. But always be there early by at least 30 mins, there will always be a line.

Why of course I had to check out this place when I'm in NYC. After all, 6000ish review...

We ordered:

- Hirata Chicken Wings = crispy with glazed pepper sauce. Typical.

- Hirata Buns = I'm all about pork buns. Yummio! Get it.

- Akamaru Modern = well-balanced broth, too bad I'm not fond of the thin noodles.

- Shiromaru Hakata Classic = simple classic bowl of ramen. Delicious broth that is not overly salty.

Great ambiance, great service, and great comfort food. I hope you give this place a try. Cheers!

The ramen here is some of the best i have had anywhere. The pork buns are also a must. If you want something to wash this down with go for a cold unfiltered Sake. The staff are great and you won't forget the welcome.

The ramen and pork buns are to die for! Sometimes there's a wait during lunch and during dinner, there's usually over an hour wait! Try the miso and spicy ramen! Those two are the most popular.

Fantastic ramen place. Totally worth the 1.5 hour wait. Hirata Pork Buns (Pork and Eringi Mushroom, served with Ippudo's original spicy sauce and mayo) were fantastic. The pork belly contained roughly 50% fat, 50% meat so every bite was juicy and flavorful.

For my main I got the Karaka-men Ramen (The original "Tonkotsu" broth with an added kick; thin noodles with Ippudo's special blend of hot spices, topped with pork chashu, cabbage, scallions, and fragrant garlic oil.). I got this with a side of pulled pork and extra spice on the side. It was awesome!

The ramen came out at perfect temperature to start stuffing your face! No need to worry about blowing on the soup or it being too cold. It was perfect. But what really did it for me was the service. Regardless how fat I drank the water, the staff will always fill it up immediately! Each dish came out w/ an explanation of the dish as well as how to eat it (if it applies). Very helpful staff!

Food is great, wings are the sneaky winner on the menu. Pork buns and tuna tartar are great. Beware the ramen bowls are a lot more food then they look!

The ramen was good. High quality smooth slurp worthy good. The broth is fat, expect a layer of flavorful oils to float around. The ramen noodles came out thinner than expected but had a lot of bounce.
But the ramen isn't even the highlight - Hikata Pork Buns! "Oh my lord have mercy, what have the Ippudo gods given us" kind of good. We ordered this at the bar, since we were in line and stuck there anyway. By the time our tables were ready, we already had the buns and a good amount of sake in us and ready for a meal. Saved us time and the bartender was really good company. Happy hour features 2 for 1 drafts.
The line starts before 5pm, but moves pretty quick right up until 6:30, then it gets slow.
If you are coming with a big party, there's a few big seating booths so nothing to worry about!

Very good high quality Ramen that is a little pricer then most in town...however that doesn't stop the crowds from packing the place.
