Nebraska Holidays

Nebraska has a rich history with ranching and farming, two occupations that are still popular in this state today. Sports - particularly college football - is a huge part of culture here. To have a more city-oriented experience, head to Omaha or Lincoln, two of Nebraska's largest cities.

If you were going to come up with one word to describe the state it would probably be flat, or maybe football. Both would be accurate words to describe this flat and football-crazed state. However, there is more to the state if you have time to check it out. In the east you can check out the Arbor Lodge in Nebraska City, and follow the Oregon trail throughout the state. Check out iconic stops like Chimney Rock and Scottsbluff the you may be familiar with thanks to the Oregon Trail video game. In the spring you can see the amazing migrations of the Sandhill cranes. Nebraska sits atop a rich source of natural and geological history, and you will see an abundance of fossils from dinosaurs to mammoths in the states many museums.
