Tennessee's Centennial Exposition in 1897. Once you have taken in the architectural beauty of the Parthenon, you can travel inside to find a full-size replica of the statue of Athena. The Parthenon also serves as home to Nashville's art museum, where works by American artists from the 19th and 20th centuries are on display.

Parthenon is a little underwhelming inside. Read up on the reason it was build before you go because if you’re not interested in the world’s fair then you might not care about the museum itself.

It's weird that they just decided to make a replica of the Parthenon in Nashville. But it's a replica of "how it may have looked" so that makes it a bit more interesting. The parks and gardens around it are beautiful.

This to-scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens hosts kids workshops every week and periodic performances for adults. The inside, featuring a massive guilded Athena statue, is impressive and surprising for what you might expect in Nashville!

The Parthenon of Nashville is a beautiful piece of architecture without even stepping foot inside. The intricate engravings all along the outside edge, the columns, all the way to the massive and rather glorious front door that truly captures the majesty of what the Parthenon represents in history.

I definitely recommend seeing the interior of the Parthenon, an amazing full-scale replica. You can see the building from the balcony.

A great sight in the middle of an American city. The low entry cost makes this a great destination in the city with much info to be learned once inside.

An experience that is enjoyed by the whole family. The only exact replica of The Parthenon as it sits on The Acropolis of Athens in Greece. Truly an experience to treasure.

A full-size replica of the Greek Parthenon at Centennial Park. You can go inside for a small price or just enjoy it from the outside. Great for photos.

Some of our favorite Saturday's are spent walking around the park listening to the free music shows and sampling all of the delicious food trucks. This is also a great park to run or walk in, the "lake" makes for a great circuit.

A very unique and surprising historic attraction to visit while in Music City. Nashville is also known as "The Athens of the South" because of our high concentration of colleges and universities. Mick Jagger visited the Parthenon the last time the Stones were in town.

This full scale replica is a pretty entertaining Nashville stop. I mean, who needs to go to Greece, right (jk)? It's in the middle of a cute park, which makes for some nice time to work off a very small fraction of the hot chicken you probably just ate or are about to eat.

It's hard to miss when you get to the park and is fun to take pictures with. I don't know if I need to go again in a future trip to Nashville, but it's a must see if you're in the area for the first time.

By the 1850’s, Nashville had earned the nickname of the “Athens of the South” by having established numerous higher education institutions as well as being the first Southern City to establish a public school system. The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals. The Parthenon also serves as Nashville's art museum. The focus of the Parthenon's permanent collection is a group of 63 paintings by 19th and 20th century American artists donated by James M. Cowan.

If you are in Nashville make this stop part of your top five things to see. Built in the 1800s and is a replica of the real Parthenon in Athens.

Adjacent to Vanderbilt University and within Centennial Park, The Parthenon is a nice change of pace attraction that seems to of place but is very interesting. This replica sits in the middle of the park surrounded by a nice grassy field. Go inside and enjoy some artifacts.
