Situated in Nashville’s West End Neighborhood, Centennial Park is a lush oasis that offers a tranquil respite from the glittering lights of Lower Broadway, Music City’s Honk Tonk Highway. One of the most beloved parks in town, this gorgeous natural setting occupies 132 acres. The site has served as a fairground, a racetrack and the location for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition. The lifesize replica of the Parthenon still stands.

Big beautiful park, with well kept grass, great for picnics or Frisbee. Plus lots to do inside from an arts center to the Parthenon replica. If I moved to Nashville I’d be here every chance I got.

Centennial Park was large and beautiful. Plenty of shade for picnics or relaxing, trees galore for hanging up your hammock and lounging.

If there is anything that is totally Nashville it's Centennial Park. I grew up feeding the ducks and throwing frisbees in the summer. Located on the outskirts of downtown Nashville you will be surrounded by a plethora of eateries and stores for your shopping pleasure.

Spring is the time when the locals and the college crowd head to Centennial Park and engage in a variety of activities. Sunbathe on the lawn, play a game of Frisbee or people watch. Check local listings for a barrage of free concert series, festivals and art shows.
Centennial Park is home to the Parthenon. Tennesseans built the Parthenon as a replica of the Parthenon in Athen’s Greece for the 1897 Centennial Exposition. The structure houses the Nashville’s Art Museum. Show up on a sunny day and have your pictures made in the shadows of the columns. You can boast to your friends that you made a short detour to Athens. They’ll never know the difference.

Huge field to toss the football, fly a kite, etc. Centennial Park has a little bit of everything that parks usually offer, including a replica of the Parthenon, which you can go inside to see a huge golden statue of Athena.

Open area near the Parthenon with a warplane and 1950s locomotive. Definitely worth a visit with little ones interested in those things...stay away if you could care less or in inclement weather.

Nice spot right in the middle of Nashville, across the street from Vanderbilt and near a bunch of eateries. This is where the Parthenon is, so it’s cool to get to go in the museum and peek around a bit. There are a bunch of joggers and students milling around, picnics going on. Good playground for the kids but definitely don’t come at night, because the homeless will congregate in the picnic area. It’s just a little nervewracking as a single girl!

Built as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition in 1897. It is a full scale replica of the parthenon in Athens and well worth a visit!
