Mykonos is a beautiful island with charming villages, vistas, and great food. It’s amazing to walk around the small villages, lounge at the pool or beach, also good to rent a quad bike to get around.

If you want to party in Greece, Mykonos island is the MUST party island you need to visit. It's like the equivalent of Ibiza. Great vibes and amazing people.

When most people think of the Greek islands, the Cyclades are the images that usually come to mind. Whitewashed houses on hillsides, offset by azure waters, perhaps with a windmill or a church dome in view. And if you want idyllic then Mykonos, at the tourist heart of this island group, is a great choice. Excellent hotels and restaurants (even Nobu has a restaurant here in the Belvedere hotel) rub shoulders with traditional crafts and modern art galleries. There's a beach for everyone, from party animal to family holiday. And of course, being an island, a bit of island hopping should definitely be on your agenda somewhere. The island of Delos, a mile west of Mykonos, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of a myriad ancient landmarks. Catch the ferry boat from Mykonos Harbor and in 20 minutes you’re surrounded by the ancient ruins of the Doric Temple of Isis, Minoan Fountain and the Temple of Delians.

It's probably the most hip and happening islands in Greece - famous for its beaches and clubbing. Motorbikes, ATV and cars can be rented easily.

This gorgeous Grecian island was one of my favorite stops during a big trip along the Mediterranean. It's relatively pedestrian friendly and clean. There's lots to explore and plenty more to eat.

At the end of the main area, you'll find a history museum full of old Grecian sculptures. It's only four rooms big, but if you're a history buff, you'll probably want to check it out.

At the other end of the island, you'll find the giant windmills, perfect for a great photo, and that white church with the bell that everyone captures on film. It's the most photographed building on the island!

A friend of ours who had been trying gelato at each city we stopped in claimed that the "homemade" gelato here was the best (even compared to some Italian places). You'll see it at the end of the waterfront near the docks. Try the coffee.

When you're down, wash it all down with a bottle of Greek beer by the beach, with its natural sand and bright blue waters.

Mykonos is a gorgeous, interesting place with lots of nightlife, great beaches, and a mix of tourists from all over the world. I think it's a perfect destination for pretty much anyone--there's plenty to do or you can do nothing at all but chill out.
