Quaint historic little inn right on the Mississippi River. Sunday brunch is amazing! Make reservations and stay at this charming little place!

I loved every inch of this small, historic, hotel. Here is a snapshot of how to spend your day: Eat a 5-course (yes, 5) champagne brunch. Roll your brunch baby down the street on a Nice Ride bicycle (trails galore!) or take a Segway tour of the Stone Arch Bridge/Mill City Museum if you are feeling leisurely. Take a break and bake a loaf of bread or batch of cookies in the Mill City test kitchen. After a refreshing shower in a large, glass shower or a quick soak in a clean tub, meet downstairs for dinner and drinks in the hotel restaurant. Feel like music and a movie outside? Or a play? This area has both. On the way back to a cozy room and comfy bed, take a stroll across the lit up Stone Arch Bridge and get one last glance at the skyline over the Mississippi River.

This luxury inn, built in 1893, is one of the best and most unique hidden gems of Minneapolis. It’s got the proximity to downtown and all its attractions, but it’s on an island oasis full of charm and history. You can choose a room with views of the Mighty Mississippi River, you can access trails along the river with scenic downtown views, you can walk across the street to a park—it’s just a great place to be, whether you are a business traveler or are looking to take your honey on a romantic getaway. They have free Wi-Fi and parking is not a problem. One of the best things about this place is the restaurant. They have a five-course Sunday brunch I might just fast all week to enjoy, live music every Saturday night, and an outdoor patio to enjoy Minnesota’s finer months.
