dome above a mosaic shield. Its four stories includes multiple shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, including the historic Biffi Caffe, the first cafe in Milan to have electric lighting. For those wanting a taste of luxury, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and other well known outlets can be found here, though the architecture alone is worth a trip.

Walk into Milan's Galleria and you've got a great view into Italian fashion and architecture. Here, you can't help but admire the aesthetics. Fittingly, the first Prada store opened here (and still stands at the center of it all). The galleria is a beauty, but it can get unbearably crowded; admire the design, spin on the bull, and head out toward Brera.

We had the best ice cream at Savini - it's totally worth the money and the waiting in the line!

Classy, lively, quintessential Milan. First time tourists must find find the bull on the floor and step on his balls

Come in to either appreciate the architecture or go luxury goods shopping. It's sad that such a nice place for shopping is littered with cigarettes though.

Italians liked this guy so much they named a mall after him! Okay, it's not an ordinary mall, but it is a good place to pay a lot of money for things, and eat mediocre food. Building is beautiful at least.

Beautiful and iconic. Be like the other tourists and take a myriad of photos here, then escape with your sanity to someplace more calm. Most stores are upscale, so unless you've got dough, you can just admire the architecture.

Beautiful, elegant, historic shopping center in the middle of Milan, worth a walk through to look at the architecture even though most travelers won't actually buy anything here.

Even if shopping malls aren't your favorite pastime, this mall should at least be walked through. Many upscale shops and overpriced restaurants are located within a memorable structure which I will remember long after I've forgotten the retail establishments within it.

Such a beautiful shopping center. Too bad McDonalds has to ruin the moment.

Maybe I am not a shopping lover - It is OK. Building is very nice but full of out of my budget stores. Great for the millionaires and billionaires.

A beautiful and memorable building. I love grabbing lunch at one of the cafes and people watching. All the high end designers have stores here.

This is certainly very expensive, but there are lots of places to go for drinks and even dinner that aren't that heavily touristed, especially in the offseason. Just very pricey. But the quality is good.

The world's first shopping mall (though extremely upscale by comparison to most American malls) the Galleria is an impressive fusion of stone, steel and glass. Whether you are interested in shopping or not, it's worth a stroll.

The ultimate shoppers delight!! Stay at the Park Hyatt which faces this incredible piece of architecture and explore the shops as an upscale Italian would do. It is so visually beautiful day or night.
