Small and cushy hotel near the central station. Very easy to find! The city centre is not far and reachable with a short walk. There wasn't a loving welcome at the front desk, anyway the staff was cold, but professional. Continental full breakfast for salty or sweet teeth, but is not always fresh...
Rooms are clean, but a little far to small. I didn't like the old fashion furnishing from the seventies which clashes with the atmosphere...it can be improved. The wall colours and furnishing need to be refresh. Also the bathroom is tiny and the shower stall aged.
Inside the rooms you have the minimum comfort like free WI-Fi, hair-dryer and television. I reckon, except for the room's dimension and the furnishing, the value for money for this small hotel of three stars is good, nothing exceptional.

Kinda creepy for solo female travelers. It feels like a one-star property for truck drivers or single men instead. The whole place is in need of renovation, especially the rooms with their dated fixings and coverings. One good thing about the hotel is its location. Casa Mia is located in the center of the city on a cute street full of cafes, shops and park, and it's in walking distance of the famous Fashion Quadrilatero, an area that contains prestigious boutiques and showrooms. But I think Casa Mia is much too expensive for what you get. You may pay as much $160 Euro for a single room. I think there are surely better and more affordable options for visitors, especially solo women, to stay in Milan.

This small, unpretentious hotel pales in comparison with its imposing neighbours (it is close to two of the most famous luxury hotels in Milan), but it is a brilliant solution for those who find the five-star-hotels’ prices a little too high. Casa Mia is a family-run hotel which tries to focus on guests as if they were family themselves – even the name seems to convey this idea, in fact Casa Mia means “my home”. Clean and very close to the metro, it has every essential comfort that you might need, especially free WI-FI and a daily served complimentary breakfast. Because of the small windows typical of the palaces of Milan and the heavy tapestries, the hotel is not particularly well lit, but the fact that the dominant colour is yellow helps to brighten up the place.

I reckon that this hotel might be called “Casa Mia” (My House) because it is as big as a house. Either from the outside as well as from the inside, it is a cute, unpretentious thing that makes you feel welcome. Nothing too demanding, naturally, but it is clean and tidy and the people were helpful and nice. The breakfast room looked a tad like a recreation room for children, or a penny arcade stripped of its poker machines, and the position was not exactly advantageous, but it is a nice alternative to its neighbouring and extremely expensive hotels (the Principe di Savoia and the Westin Palace). I quite liked it, and I think the prices they offer are absolutely fair. If you do not know where to stay in Milan, this is the place for you.
