famous so expect crowds. Enjoy shopping and casual or fine dining at all times of the day and night. You can stay in one of the art-deco style hotels or a charming boutique style hotel. Try to get a hotel room facing the ocean and get up early enough to see daylight dawn. If you are visiting Miami Beach for a family vacation, stay closer to the south end of the strip to avoid noise from after hours clubs and bar hoppers.

Nice night life area during the weekend especially! I enjoy coming to Miami and walking the strip every time I visit.

It can get pretty rowdy on a weekend night, but this is a must see/stop in Miami. It's impossible to be bored here.

Looking for a glimpse of the "Rich & Famous"? Ocean drive is only 20 minutes away in South Miami Beach and offers many authentic restaurants, bars and clubs.

Ocean drive is the iconic stretch of road that borders Lummus Park. The park conveniently has public bathrooms which come in handy if you are spending a day on the beach. The entire stretch of Ocean Drive is a combination of classic art deco hotels and overpriced tourist trap bars and restaurants.

Pretty lights, expensive shops, bad restaurants, and lots of tourists. Don't even bother trying to park here.

The heart of SoBe. Luxe hotels abound with endless ocean views. Take an Art Deco tour for some history or just lay on the beach all day. Welcome to Miami.

Visited for 1/2 day with my husband walked Ocean through each of the restaurants, feels like your at a carnival with people trying to get you to sit at their restaurant. We chose the News Cafe which had a no pressure feel with a cool relaxing vibe. Recommend the Tomato and Garlic pasta. Would go here again. Good place for people watching and car viewing.

The main drag where everything happens in Miami Beach! The best place to walk around and people watch. Also great restaurants and cafes!

Ocean Drive is the iconic strip of Miami South Beach that serves as a backdrop in several movies (Scarface, The Birdcage, etc.) Lined with beautiful Art Deco hotels highlighted in neon, you can enjoy a day of people watching by settling into one of the many restaurants or bars that line this road.

Ocean drive is everything that Hollywood makes it out to be. The 50s style architecture along with all of the nice cars and bikinis makes Ocean Drive the heart of Miami. The street is lined with cool restaurants and bars that sit right across from one of the world's best beaches.

Ocean Drive is famous for a reason: It's the hot spot of South Beach, day and night. You'll find a lot of restaurants, bars and shops here

Before I visited Ocean Drive I saw it in a couple of movies and tv productions. When you like restaurants, clubs and shops, this is the street you have to go in Miami South Beach! And like many other people said, it can be really crowded.

Best beach on South Beach! Beautiful locals love to enjoy it. 2 min. Surfers, paddle boarders, and frisby is popular here. 2 minute walk from the unit!

It is known for its Art Deco hotels. Ocean Drive is also the location of the famed Versace mansion, one of the most photographed houses in North America. The street is the center of the Miami Art Deco District, which is home to about 800 preserved buildings. Streamline Moderne evolved from the Art Deco style, and dominates the street. The street has a magazine named after it, Ocean Drive magazine. British easy-listening duo, The Lighthouse Family, released a single entitled "Ocean Drive", which reached #11 on the UK Singles Chart.
