Love the ambiance, the food and the drinks. The bacon wrapped dates and the duck and waffles are my very favorites!

Food and ambiance is exceptional. I didn’t expect pigs ears to be something I’d like but they were excellent.

Really social place to eat with small tapas style dishes to share.

Service was great too

SUGARCANE welcome to a home away from home!
Since digging deep gastronomic roots into the Miami dining scene in 2010, SUGARCANE raw bar grill has become a favorite synonymous with casual cool and epicurean revelations.

Three distinct culinary hubs—robata grill, hot kitchen and raw bar—unite at SUGARCANE raw bar grill, resulting in what Food & Wine Editor-in-Chief Dana Cowin called “a greatest hits of delicious dishes.” Inspired by international influences and fueled by South American spirit, SUGARCANE raw bar grill offers a shared experience via its menu of large and small plates, artisanal cocktails, and an extensive rum selection.

Kick Back, Eat Well and Stay Awhile

Helmed by celebrated Executive Chef and Partner Timon Balloo, SUGARCANE’s menu ranges from crudos and raw bar to more hardy fare like rib-eye and one of Miami’s most crave-able comfort-food dishes, Chef Timon’s whole roasted chicken with truffle fingerling potatoes and wild mushrooms. See the full menus here.

Outside, SUGARCANE’s lush and roomy outdoor terrace delivers the happiest of hours. Inside, SUGARCANE’s signature tropical fans, soaring ceilings, sultry interior bar and dining space, and a sumptuous private dining room with seating up to 24 radiates a “come one, come all” attitude loved by both regulars and newcomers alike.

SUGARCANE is managed and operated by SAMBA BRANDS MANAGEMENT. The company’s portfolio includes SUSHISAMBA, locations in Miami, NY, Las Vegas and London, Duck & Waffle—an inspired offshoot of SUGARCANE’s own Duck & Waffle dish—located in London. And Bocce, another SUGARCANE sister restaurant, is just a few feet away!

My favorite restaurant in Miami! I love the outdoor seating area with a very welcoming, romantic and comfortable atmosphere. Nice looking local people and not a touristic place. The waiters are always nice and knowledgable about the menu. They have a lot of small plates to share "family style" which is great because it gives you the opportunity to try many different flavors. Some of the best are the bacon wrapped dates, the Brussel sprouts and the duck and waffles - all unbelievable!! but almost everything is delicious!
They also make creative signature cocktails - my favorite is the "strawberry balsamic" which is amazing!
Pick a night that allows you to sit outside and you'll see it is worth it!!

Great creative tapas menu and many designer cocktails. Very popular and delicious. Can't go wrong with almost everything on the menu, but beware of the final bill if you are ordering many small plates. Cocktails are worth being adventurous for.

Sugarcane is a wonderful Latin fusion spot in midtown. They have tapas style servings with tons of great options. Their drinks are fantastic and the ambiance is great. Try them for a weekend brunch. They have an absolutely ridiculous grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with pork.

This place is incredible -- from the three tiered raw shellfish tower that fed six to the grilled eggplant to the spare ribs it was amazing. The service was friendly and efficient. We were celebrating our daughter's college gradution and it was just the place to do it. We had an out door table, funky surroundings, and blessed with Grandpa
joining us at 96 -- what could be better? That design district rocks!

This is my casual go-to spot whether it’s for lunch, brunch or happy hour. The tapas are incredible and so are the cocktails (Spice of Love is great). I love the roasted tomato and burrata salad. They have an amazing happy hour with Chef Timon’s great small plates, robata-grilled skewers and crudo. You can sit outside in the courtyard and feel like you're in another country. Inside is always bustling and there’s a great open kitchen and robata grill where you can watch the magic happen.

I would have given this place four stars if we hadn't had to wait an hour and a half for a table that I had a reservation for. But it was Saturday night, so I can't complain too much. When we were finally seated the service was excellent and they gave us a few free appetizers for the wait. I recommend the Spice of Love cocktail. It will give you hope in life. Also, the small plates are strange and inventive, but will give your taste buds a little kick in the pants. Duck and waffles? Why not?

This is a very cool place both for lunch and dinner. It has nice tables both inside and outside. The environment is romantic with lights all around outside. Food is good, you could choose tapas, raw fish and sushi. Great apple juice at lunchtime.

Escape Miami’s midtown district by retreating to Sugarcane’s 850-square-foot outdoor oasis, complete with vintage garden gates, star-shaped light canopies, and 52 seats. The restaurant has three distinct kitchens—a robata, a hot grill, and a raw bar—all of which deliver Latin-inspired food to the terrace. One order to start: shrimp ceviche and a caipirinha or two.

With so many places to choose from for food in Miami I took a chance on this place and I won! We shared a bunch of different small plates which worked out perfectly for our group. If you go you must try these menu items.
