I came here for a 3 days of seminars. From a Catering and Events standpoint, this place poorly executed their staff in completing even the most basic tasks when it comes to event planning.

The event staff would have to go and ask catering to refill water pitchers, rather than have extra pitchers stocked in the back of the room.

On the last day, during our lunch break, the seminar coordinator was locked out of her own room, even when she had the key, and the room was never refreshed. I came back to my seat with everything I left on my table, and an empty pitcher.

I was told by the hotel that the shuttle left the hotel every 15 minutes, but I had lodged elsewhere and would catch the shuttle from the airport. I was late to my meeting every time because the shuttle never arrived to pick up guests on that interval.

It is a far nicer of a location compared to all of the other hotels next to MIA, but it's remote to amenities like dining and shopping.

This immense hotel is in a prime location next to the airport and on Blue Lagoon. I would recommend it for events from weddings to conferences. It has large banquet halls overlooking the lagoon. It also has a huge, spacious outdoor area with an enormous pool. Next to the pool there's a bar aptly called Blue Lagoon that serves popular cocktails like Margaritas, Rum Runners and Bloody Marys; it also serves wine and beer. There's also a deck where you get a nice view of airplanes taking off on the runway. But, what I absolutely loved about this hotel that set it off from the rest is that it has a nature trail. Yes, you read it. If you keep walking after the pool, the tranquil trail, lined with speakers playing music and benches, leads towards a gazebo with a beautiful view of the lagoon. Some of the creatures to watch for include iguanas, lizards and egrets.

OK, so airport hotels are grim but this one is particularly awful. While the rooms are clean and comfortable, it's just the inhumanity of the place. Front desk staff who've seemingly had every last ounce of personality replaced by a computer chip and the muzak which is piped through every public area - the only escape from it is in your room. Very, very over-priced for what it is.

It's huge, really huge, but with that much space comes less attention to details. For example, you need to pay to park even if you're just checking out the hotel. $6 minimum which seems quite tedious. But I guess it weeds out unnecessary visitors. This doesn't seem family friendly but more for the business traveler. The lobby is impressively large but smells of stale cigarettes and once allowed smoking. The employees were very helpful and recommended the Coral Cafe for a quick bite breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The majority of guests seemed to stopping over for a night or two in between flights or there for business meetings.

The Hilton Miami Airport Hotel and Towers is conveniently located by the Miami International Airport and near the Port of Miami. This makes the hotel a popular stopover for cruises and for others with short-term stays in the Miami area. As such, there isn’t too much to do right in the area of the hotel. If you’re looking to stay in Miami for longer than a night or two, a car rental would be necessary, especially since the line for the complimentary shuttles seemed long. However, the hotel grounds are nice, the pool is large and the hotel is on the banks of a natural lagoon. The staff was also friendly, and the rooms were spacious. As an airport hotel, the Hilton definitely served its purpose.

i've stayed here twice on work trips, and the rooms were much more spacious than i expected. there's even a nice armchair and ottoman for relaxing. i had space enough to roll out my yoga towel and get a practice in. the desk is really long so you can spread out all your work materials, and there are outlets on each of the light fixtures (desk and nightstands) to charge up all your electronics without having to dive behind furniture.

the food downstairs is just eh. overpriced, but decent.
