I've never actually spent the night here because it's so ritzy and expensive, but few know that the best things about the Peabody are free: the twice daily march of the famous lobby ducks, and the rooftop view. You can take the elevator to the top for free for some awesome views of the Mississippi River, and the ducks swim around in the fountain all day. Awesome!

We got to the Peabody around 1030 to get a good spot. The Peabody duck experience is free but I recommend the bloody Mary! They come down at 11 and then you can go up to the top floor where they live. So cute!

It's big, bougie, expensive, and iconic, but if you decide to fork out the necessary funds, you'll be treated to an American experience like no other. The Peabody also houses one of the best bars in Memphis.

A classic old school hotel with wonderful service. The ducks, however, are highly overrated.

Well if you haven't seen the parade of the ducks you need to at least once. They come down from their penthouse at 11AM and return from the fountain at 5PM. Very busy so get your viewing spot early. Nice hotel as well.

A must see hotel in Memphis! Rooms are very nice, the lobby bar is divine. The famous Duck March brings in the crowds, so get there early to find a seat.

The history and prestige of the famous Peabody hotel remains today. The service & March of the ducks is not to be missed if you are coming thru Memphis. It's centrally located and beautiful during the holidays. During the summer they host the liveliest rooftop parties.

If you are in the downtown area of Memphis this is a historic place to stay at.
It is famous for Peabody Ducks, a tradition from 1933. There is a fountain in the lobby with a few ducks and inside the peabody has a mall and a movie theater but I wouldn't know if it has closed down or not.

This is a beautiful hotel with great Memphis history. Seeing the March of the Ducks and visiting the duck palace is great fun and although it became a little chaotic beforehand was definitely worth doing!

Built in 1925, the hotel is featured on the National Register of Historic Places. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a very nice Lobby Bar where cocktails are served in comfortable sofas and chairs. It's most widely known for the ducks that come in every morning and sit in the water bath in the middle of the lobby.

Gorgeous old hotel close to Beale Street and several other attractions. The ducks proceed in and out at 11 and 5, but you can visit them in the lobby after the crowds disperse, or go up to the roof for views of the Mississippi and a peek at the Duck Palace. Worth peeking into even if you're not staying there (or interested in the ducks).

In my opinion, The Peabody Hotel is THE place to stay in downtown Memphis. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. So much so that I would recommend just walking in and checking it out. The style and decor make it feel like you're traveling back in time, in a good way. There are two restaurants downstairs as well as the famous Sunday Brunch at The Peabody every weekend. I also checked out the pool, spa and gym, all of which I did not want to leave. The location is perfect for walking to downtown hot spots like Beale Street, the FedEx Forum and the AutoZone Park Stadium. And the ducks, of course are an adorable attraction that everyone enjoys. They also have pet friendly rooms available for your own fuzzy friends.

I didn't stay in the Peabody, but I went there twice in the day to see the entrance and the exit of the ducks as well as the "duck palace" on the roof. The bar is nice although a bit busy at duck times. The lobby is beautifully decorated and in the mezzanine they have a memorabilia room with items going back to the start of the Peabody.

We didn't stay here but an 11am visit is always needed to watch the Peadbody Ducks make their famous walk into the lobby's fountain!

I didn't stay at the Peabody because we always stay with friends or family when we come. But we went to the rooftop bar to see Memphis! Then of course stayed for the famous duck march!

Stop in and watch the daily duck walk to and from the roof to the fountain in the lobby. Fun time.

A gorgeous hotel in the very center of Memphis. It is famous for Peabody Ducks, a tradition from 1933. There is a fountain in the lobby with five ducks, one male and four females, that every day at 11 am and 5 pm start their march from the fountain to the roof top where they live, taking the elevator. really funny to see.
