Beautiful mountain range spanning multiple cities along the coast of France. Gorgeous views and new things to discover each time you visit! Hiking on foot or taking a drive through Leas Calanques are equally worth it.

Visit these stunning white inlets that stretch for more than 20km from Marseille to Cassis. The water is a vibrant turquoise and the water stays cool all year, meaning you can cool off during the summer. These are a great alternative for sunbathing for those who can't stand the sand of a beach.

If you are looking for a unique activity with amazing views, this is the place for you! Les Calanques de Cassis is just a little outside of the city center, but still accessible by public transit (can't remember the bus number, I apologize!). The buses aren't that frequent, so I would definitely plan your times accordingly. But don't skimp out of the amazing views, this is definitely a whole day trip, half a day if you are pressed for time. But be prepared, it is quite a hike. You can either hike up the cliffs to the lookout spot for some amazing views of the ocean and the cliffs below, or you can hike down to the tiny stone beaches. But beware, these hikes are not for the faint hearted. Me and my friends took the "easy" path, and we still found it challenging. So bring a good pair of tennis shoes, sun screen, and a towel and hike down to the water and swim in the sea! It is a truly incredible view, I'm sad that we only got there in the late afternoon!

This is a place I will never say anything about! It is a part of my life, my soul, and my memory, only for myself ! But I loved it ... and still love it ... and I will always love it, and the steps that lead me there.

Not to miss if you go to Marseille. There are different boat trips departing from the Old Port, but the best might be to take the special trips that drops you at one of the lost-in-the-cliffs beaches to then pick you up 3 hours later. That way you can enjoy the sun and the sea, and not only watch other people swim from a big boat.

A magnificent place that you should definitely not miss during your trip to Marseille are the infamous Calanques (calanques), which are found along the coast leading to Cassis. The Calanchi Natural Park is characterized by marvelous cliffs overlooking the sea, natural coves that conceal bodies of water of the color of the sky, crystalline pools that in summer you have to explore between dives and walks in nature. The easiest access without vehicle is the Calanco di Sugiton: beautiful !!!
