Very unique venue focused on showcasing new artists. They have several small stage areas, where you can grab a drink and catch an intimate performance. The setup is such that they can have multiple performances at once. I was lucky enough to have caught Marlon Williams here - it was incredible.
Rockwood Music Hall is a great option if you're just dying to go see some live music or just a night of entertainment, but don't have a dime to spend on covers, which can be quite steep in this part of town.
The venue is not the most cutting-edge and trendy of its kind, but does feature a number of worthwhile local artists, and usually has quite a large and diverse set list, free of charge most nights.
It also helps that there are two stages right next door to one another, where you can freely jump back and forth based on your preferences.
The interior of the main stage is quite pleasant, much more spacious than most other venues in the neighborhood, with a large dance floor (where people actually dance) and a balcony to watch from above. The drinks are also decently priced.
Any place with live music and drinks is a plus in my book.
Rockwood Music Hall has different line ups each night and they have 3 different stages. It's typically no cover but they take donations for the bands.
RMH is located just a block away from where I was staying during my trip. I enjoyed it so much I came back another night. I love the vibe here. Just a bunch of middle aged folks enjoying live music, drinks, and having a good time.
Rockwood Music Hall is a concert hall and bar for those who want an intimate music experience by listening to a musician bare their soul on stage. Seating is tight and the space is small, but with the glass walls, even an outsider passing by Rockwood will be intrigued by seeing who's performing on stage.
