trees and a large herbarium containing about one-million specimens. Look for the beautiful Villanueva Pavilion, the classic green house within the romantic Terraza del Plano de la Flor section. The three greenhouses contain a variety of tropical plants. Learn about botany and the Linnaeus method of classifying plants while enjoying all the garden has to offer. The flowers are in full bloom during the spring.

Large collection of different species. The Botanical Gardens has both outdoor and indoor components. Definitely check out the Terraza Plano de la Flor a beautiful outdoor English style garden. There are 2 large greenhouses that are divided into tropical, temperate, and desert collections

A lovely garden that sits just beside the Prado museum. Not much different from any other garden you may visit - a short stop while visiting Madrid.

A green lung not far away from the centre when you can enjoy jogging, rolling, reading your book or just walking.

It is a very nice garden near the Prado Museum. Sometimes it organizes special events such as night visits which are great!

Go here during the spring so you can really see the colors of all of the flowers available. They also have stuff all year long. Take some time to go walk around the rest of the park.

The Real Jardin Botanico features not only beautiful flowers and plants, but also rotating exhibits. Various events, like guided visits and workshops, are also offered at the Real Jardin Botanico.
The garden is open until 9pm in the summer and admission is 2.50 euros for the general public, and 1.25 euros for students with valid ID. It’s also located right next to the Prado, so a nice visit to the museum to see the masters followed by a stroll in the gardens would make for a lovely and cultural afternoon.
