This was by far the best time I had in LA. The mall was so nicely decorated with Christmas theme. Sure far had the best Christmas time ever. Huge Christmas tree, Musical fountain, Santa Village, Shops and restaurants.

All you have to pay for is parking. Everything else is complimentary outside of food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. The train ride up to the Getty museum was beautiful. The museum is indoor/ outdoor and gives you breathtaking views of LA. Definitely a must see!

Los Angeles likes to keep it's art perched on top of a hill in an earthquake proof building protected from floods and fire. That's because The Getty hosts some of the world's greatest! You can spend a couple hours here and take some time strolling through the gardens, eating at the restaurant and taking in the views of Southern California.

The most beautiful museum I've been to! the view of Los Angeles is CRAZY too. Everything about the architecture is beautiful, I was even amazed at how beautiful the doors opened. For the price of free, the Getty is well worth the visit.

The admission was completely free but the parking was a little expensive. However, it was completely worth it! This place was truly beautiful and serene with an authentic and wide arrange of art with artists such as Van Gogh. I especially enjoyed the gardens and views.

It took us three trips to LA, but we finally got to the Getty Center (tried going once before, but my GPS wanted to take me the wrong way). We only allotted ourselves a couple of hours here, so we only saw a very small portion of what there was to see, but it was still interesting and fun to do.

Be prepared to walk miles and miles and up and down stairs! Best time to visit is in the summer when outdoor programs are on.

Located in Brentwood, the Getty Center showcases it's collection of pre-20th-century European paintings, drawings, and decorative arts as well as 19th and 20th-century American, Asian, and European photographs. The museum's collection of sculptures is scattered throughout the terraces and stunning gardens. Another must-see.

The Getty Center is one of the best "hidden secrets in plain sight" in Los Angeles. Located just off the 405 Freeway, north of West LA, you can't miss the beautiful buildings as you drive past. Admission is free, but parking is $15 -- whether you're there for 1 hour or all day. Still, a great deal for the experience of seeing some of the most amazing artwork available anywhere in the world. The museum offers many traveling exhibitions as well, and there's enough variety to satisfy anyone's taste in art.

For example, on this visit there was section dedicated to the photography of Robert Mapplethorpe, as well as the Cave Temples of Dunhuang China. In fact, this exhibition included a replica of the actual caves to walk through, which gave a fully immersive experience into the history of the artwork.

You can literally spend all day roaming through the various exhibit halls, and they even offer free guided tours throughout the day. Not only are the grounds absolutely beautiful, but the views of LA are just spectacular.

I recommend that you arrive early (before 11am) as the parking structure fills up quickly. If you really want a special treat, make reservation at the full service restaurant.
