Beautiful classic vintage venue with European style interior decor. You will be feel like in a movie scene. They are specialized for all kinds of cocktails. Make sure you grab a drink there. It’s kind of a hidden gem in China town, but I am sure you will find it.

What a beautiful gem in downtown's Chinatown district. By day it is a cafe serving up artisanal coffee and by night (go through the corridor) it is an intimate speakeasy with a chic spring themed decor. It is the same owner's of Apt 503 in Ktown so you know the interior design is going to be on point. Their cocktail program is exceptional! The mixologists here really know what they are doing and create some of the best cocktails I've had around in LA. On select nights they are curating some great live music with acts such as We The Folk. Ideal place for a date, outing with a small group of friends, or to listen to some solid local musicians.

Slide into this speakeasy for a fun escape. Tasty craft cocktails served up by a friendly, easy-going staff. Great artistic vibe.

From a gal that used to hang out with her Chinatown chicken heads just around the corner in her hay day, all the new additions to Chinatown has been such a breath of fresh air and Songbird Cafe is right at the top of the list. Situated in the new apartment plaza next to the gold line, Songbird nestles in on the ground floor amongst a slew of new stores and art galleries. Though not juuuuust and ordinary bar that boasts a secret entrance, it doubles as a day time ice cream shop! As an artist myself I truly appreciate great interior decor and thoughtful details as much as a great meal or drink being served at an establishment! Songbird does not disappoint! As one enters with a surprise at the clever secret entrance, you are immediately engulfed into a world of garden and dark whimsy. The color palette hugs the decor like a great suede jacket and the bartenders smoothly introduce you to your drinks just as seamlessly! This place serves up one of the best old fashions in town and with a beautiful cubed block of ice to boot! I can't wait to swing by during the next art walk or Chinatown event!

Overall chill place without that typical Hollywood bar feel.

Parking: street meter

The entrance is interesting. I think it is pretty creative.

The space feels pretty cozy
The bar in the center

They have a dj table in the front with several projectors.

The craft cocktail was $10 or 11. It was pretty good. Well anything with bourbon is pretty good.

The guy bartender is friendly.

Overall, I would recommend

Great secret hip new spot for late night drinks, with a coffee storefront.
