Love the Runyon hike and that they offer three different options depending on the level of activity and difficulty you want. Always busy, but great for dog owners as most of it is off leash and it’s great for socializing!

One of the more famous hikes in LA. Lot of hills without much shade so bring a lot of water.

After 13 years of living in LA I have finally have crossed doing the Runyon hike off my bucket list. It's not necessarily that I was avoiding it, it's just I hate going deep into Hollywood and getting stuck in traffic going back to the Westside. Anyways, this place is GREAT for quick workout. You can walk the trail but you will see alot of people jogging/running, and also doing random exercises. There's alot of people on this trail and the conversations that you overhear can be so Hollywood and hilarious. I can tell alot of Hollywood entertainment professionals frequent this alot. This place is very dog friendly as you will notice. Once you get to the top, there is a decent sized park where people sit on the benches and play with their dogs. If I lived in the area I could see myself doing this hike alot during the week after work. Lots of eye candy here too if you know what I mean.

If you are a looking for a serious hike, I wouldn't recommend this but this is a good workout and fun hike.

You can have a mild hike, enjoy the view of West Hollywood, and bring your dog with you as well. If you stick to the main trail it should be a mild hike.

Awesome place for a hike whether you are a tourist or local. Many trails, amazing views, and lots of room to walk your dogs. A popular hiking destination for celebrities as well. The ground is quite dry and dusty, so on some steep climbs be very careful as there is no traction, even with good hiking shoes.

If you want to see the stars in Hollywood, pass on the bus tour, don’t bother shopping on Robertson. Strap on your Nike’s, slap on sunscreen and head to this “seen and be scene” hiking trail in the hills just west of the Hollywood Sign. Bring bottled water and take the main trail that curls around the canyon. It's a brisk 45 minutes up and back. There’s a more advance trail uphill, but what do you got to prove? Relax, eavesdrop on the juicy Hollywood conversations and enjoy the stunning scenery -- the cinematic views are nice too! OMG! Amanda Siegfried sweats! Is that shirtless dude Mathew McConaughey? Well, alright, alright, alright. Just avoid the doggie land mines and parking is a nightmare since no one seems to works in LA.

Kinda trendy and too LA for me, but a great place to hike the dogs on a weekday when it isn't as crowded.

Like central park in New York...our central park in West Hollywood. Great hiking and walking. Many celebriteis walk here, my themselves, with friends, or with their dogs. Also a dog park. Great views...great scenery. Scene of many movies. Altogether wonderful. And walkable from the apartment.

Amazing Yoga Classes Outdoor!!! Among the countless great opportunities to have fun (free of charge!) you may find in Los Angeles, this is no doubt in the top 10! All year around, three classes a day, 7 days a week! If you are looking for a more challenging class, join the yoga boot camp on Sundays lead by Yogi Steve! Ready to get energized?!? Namaste'

Great place to take a hike with the pooch and it has a wonderful view of LA. But it's also very crowded, kind of dirty and parking is atrocious.
