Great views of the city and good exercise. It’s not crazy difficult but you definitely need sneakers.
Another great place to run around too. Here you can hike at any pace and still get a workout. Tons of dogs. :)
Nice place to hike if you are a tourist and don't want to go too far. Nice views and many trails connected.
Runyon Canyon Road is the fire road that bisect Runyon Canyon. It is the easiest of the four or five principal trails running through the canyon. Most of it is is leash free so you will see a lot of off leash dogs with their owners. If you don't like dogs, neither this road or Runyon Canyon is for you. I have found owners very good about cleaning up after their dogs.
My favorite place in L.A. I try to walk here 3 times a week. You can walk here from the apartment. Take Vista north to the entrance.
See celebrities and get your exercise in! There are some pretty steep steps that can really give you a workout, so make sure you are appropriately dressed. Some pretty beautiful views of the city. Can get crowded on weekends.
Overrated and overcrowded. There are plenty of other places to go -- unless you are going here to try and spot famous people walking their dogs.
I love this place for dog walking and people watching. It is the heart a soul of the hollywood exercise gang. Here's a tip join a free yoga class on the lawn just up from Franklin Street entrance
Fun hike - and even VERY athletic if you go off the main trail and up the "hard way." I love dogs but my friend calls this place "dog-shit-hill" because there are soooo many pooches and people sometimes don't clean up after them. i do see dogs off leash, so I guess you can get away with that here.... They have outdoor yoga on the weekends I think - at the bottom of the hill.
Great easy hike with amazing views of DTLA
Great view! A bit sandy and dog friendly
Stunning 360 degree view of LA!
