Great hotel from the past. The decor brings back memories of what the future would be. Beautiful inner atrium for meeting after work to chat with friends or have a drink. The rooms are spacious and great for a romantic weekend.

Another great SPG hotel! Staff is always friendly courteous and helpful! Stayed here many times for many occasions! Close enough to DTLA/Staples Center/LA LIVE to walk. Great city views from the external elevators and room windows! Close to several rooftop bars and restaurants! Great room service, baggage service and valet! Definitely a go to hotel in downtown Los Angeles! I will be staying here again!

A city in itself! Elevators, escalators and walkways. I think it takes up a block. Pool on the 4th floor. Plenty of shops. Dining, bars and brewing.

This building looks cool on the outside but the inside is the really cool part. It looks like something out of a Star Wars movie.

Beautiful, iconic hotel (many Hollywood greats filmed here) with excellent staff and wonderful piano bar on the weekends. Located in the heart of downtown LA in the financial district, with lots of great eats and bars nearby. The ride up the elevator in any of the towers offers a breathtaking view of the LA skyline.

Great hotel. Iconic hotel and the views are amazing. Elevator with views is a good plus. Lobby area is huge with bar/nightclub during the weekend is convenient. The bar is small but it makes it a very intimate setting for date night. The gym is clean and not busy. Parking is very pricey but the cost is very similar in other parking structures. Rooms are clean and updated. Elevator access is a bit confusing at the lobby. This is a great hotel for business or pleasure. Room service food is delicious but pricey. Lobby bar seems inviting with open layout to meet other guests. The walk to the valet is long so I recommend calling the valet desk to get your car ready. Other than that: location is great. Uber is best to be used in downtown instead of driving and paying for parking again.

parking here and across is so expensive but if you valet and get validation at LA Prime, then it's free. or Right next door at the World Trade Parking lot, it's the cheapest after 4pm for $7 bucks. Other than that, great design and there are a set of 4 elevators on each cardinal direction. Only one of them leads up to the restaurant and bar. The bar is the one that spins around and rotates to see view of LA.

I can only comment about the bar in the middle of the lobby but not for the bar. I know it's "drink thirty" or "5 o'clock" somewhere but let's be real. At 10:30am on a Saturday morning, the only thing I want to order is a Starbucks coffee. When I say Starbucks coffee, it's only the sign that says "We proudly serve Starbucks coffee" so stop with the mocha frappaccino or the flat white orders. That's not going to happen here. The lady who took my order here already has that look as if I was going to ask for one of those fancy schmancy drinks. Just a small coffee to the top, no need for room because I drink my coffee black. In case you wanted to buy me a cup of coffee, now you know.

I've walked through here during lunch time too and it's a nice lounge to hang out in. Whether you're waiting for your taxi or ride to the airport or just meeting friends here. Many changes have happened within this hotel so this is not the only part of the hotel that has gone through upgrades. The rooms are now hooked up, a new restaurant adjacent to this lounge, computer area for guests to print airport or shuttle passes, makes everything really convenient for the business traveler. I would save my money for a nice dinner instead of staying here. Then again, what's for dinner because there are many nice restaurants here too.

I always pretend I'm in an episode of Buck Rogers in the 31st Century when I visit the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites.

I've been to this hotel several times for various events but have never stayed here. As a venue space, I highly recommend it as the service is great! It's location is good as it's in a less sketchy part of downtown and there's several dining options close by.

The Westin Bonaventure shows up in several movies and is known for its cylindrical exterior glass elevators. The restaurants here are just so so.

Had a 1-BR/2-Bath suite on the 26th floor or so with floor-to-ceiling windows providing a view of downtown LA. Had a small fridge, bar table & chairs, living room, valet parking, breakfast, & gr8 staff also. Location gr8 for visiting the fashion & jewelry districts downtown as well as the Staple Center, Convention Center, Disney Concert Hall, etc. Not far from the 110 freeway which leads to the 101 to Hollywood. Or take the 110 to the 10 West to get to the Pacific Coast Highway for the beaches. Or take the 405 North to get to Sunset to drive thru Beverly Hills to see the million-dollar homes.

I love the architecture here, the place has a really cool vibe to it - not to mention one of my favorite movies was shot in here (True Lies). The rooms have a quirky feel to them (a lot of angles) to accomodate the design of the building. That said, when I stayed here, they were under construction (so one of the elevators was down) and there was a ton of noise from a party going on downstairs (I had asked for a room that was quiet, as this was after getting up really early to go to to the Rose Parade). Clean rooms and sheets. I'd still come back though, if anything, for the ride up and down the elevators.

The banquet food here is nasty and over-priced. The service here is slow.

Suede Bar & Lounge:

Medium sized lounge with a small bar...

They only had 1 bartender working on a popping Friday Night...they had long lines & a lot of people were unable to get their drinks & HH food specials in time.. -1

Bad service too..drinks were too fruity & had no alcohol in them @ all -1

I tried calling this place to talk to the manager but the no one was picking up the phone for hours.. =( -1

Asked the DJ to lower the music since it was WAY too loud for people to talk to each other but they were UNABLE & Unwilling to accommodate us.. -1

After 10PM they try to turn this place into a night club..SERIOUSly??!!

Wow, there are tons of clubs in LA that are so much better than this cramped over decorated joint... =(

Decor was nice..red plushy furniture.. 8 pts..+1

Food was mediocre @ best..

Decor shouldn't be the only selling point of this lounge/bar, a place should also be rated on it's service, atmosphere, food & how accommodating management should be when there's a large group that comes to its establishment ..which was ZERO... =(

Stayed here for one night and the room was spectacular. My friend had a suite with an amazing view. I would definitely want to come back here, as it was still under some major construction during my previous stay.
