Beautiful and historic hotel in the heart of DTLA. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner and a night of dancing. Visually stunning.

This is a famous and elegant hotel in DTLA. This is where the Oscars got started back in the day. It's been used in various movies, and many world leaders/royalty have stayed here, as well as the Beatles.

The Biltmore opened in 1923. Its interior is an art deco masterpiece that has been the setting for numerous movies including Ghost Busters. The Biltmore Bowl, an auditorium within the hotel, hosted the Academy Awards during the 30s and 40s. A stellar hotel but if you're hungry, there are lots of nearby restaurants that serve much better quality food than that offered within the hotel.

Guess what? I bet you didn't know that this is the hotel that Eddie Murphy stays at in "Beverly Hills Cop"!

had tea at the biltmore hotel. divine. such a welcome reward at the end of the week. could have used more of the sandwiches and fewer desserts, but overall attentiveness and setting were fantastic. dress up and treat yourselves! about $45 incl tip/person

If you are a lover of traditional hotels the Millennium Biltmore will keep you happy.
The decor is dated in keeping with the architecture.
The rooms are large and so comfortable.
The service is exceptionale!
I found it relaxing and the locale perfect if you need to be in downtown LA.

Really a 5 star hotel, but I gave it 4 because it's in Downtown LA, which is not my favorite place to hang out. The interior of this hotel is very detailed and elegant and the rooms are classically designed. I've also attended several wedding receptions here and the set up and the food are great.

Fabulous as a venue for a large event or wedding, I don't love staying at the Biltmore, because it is pretty much always spookily empty and because the rooms and the room service options are exactly what one expects to find in the middle of the night at an airport hotel.

I got to stay here as a guest and it's really nice. Across the street from Pershing Square.

When you enter, it's all fancy like the 1920s and they like to decorate it during Christmas (I always come here for photo ops too).

ROOM: Standard room
Nice. Clean. It was a bit smaller than a NOW typical hotel room but that's because it's a OLD hotel. The sheets are comfy tho. But other than that, it's a standard room.

PARKING:
Pershing Square - overnight is $15 - easy parking

Walking distance to my dessert shop - Syrup Desserts and close to clubs in downtown

Overall, nice historic hotel

MOVIE SPOT! You'll recognize their ballroom/meeting room facilities from many films with banquet or awards balls scenes, including THE SOLOIST (starring Robert Downey Jr. and Katherine Keener and Jamie Foxx). The rooms here are small and not very newly renovated, for the price. But, the atmosphere downstairs in the bar area is cool for a drink.

I have a special fondness for the Biltmore, which is an institution in Los Angeles. I've stayed here twice, and both times have been momentous occasions in my life. First time was for my prom, which was held in one of the ballrooms downstairs. That night was the first time I'd stayed with a girl in a hotel, alone..... You can guess the rest! Second time I stayed there I was actually living in Seattle and I flew down for a job interview which was in the Sal Sal restaurant at the Bilt. Got that job, and it dramatically changed my life at the time. The hotel is grand and luxurious and has a rich history providing lodgings to all (upper) echelons of society. The unique round glass design, sets it off against the very square LA skyline, and the sumptuous interiors are truly worth the visit, inevitably eliciting big "Wow's"!

I was there running through downtown looking for something..
I don't know what it was that I was looking for
but I know when I find it I'll know it.
and i can tell you this much....
it wasn't here.
;P

walking through to look for the hotel bar....but as I walked in through the side entrance I was greeted by the annual geriatric tea meet....
awkward
they all just kind of stared at me as I quickly walked through

when I came upon the bar....it was closed due to it being used as a backdrop for a movie....
MOFO's!!!

but otherwise it was a beautiful hotel. the decor, the inlays, the architecture etc etc is a fantastic. I guess I can't fault them for using it..
but you'd think they would at least offer me a drink.
