The name Los Angeles often evokes glamorous images of Hollywood stars and sunny beaches. Although you can definitely find plenty of sun, sand, and even the occasional celebrity, there is much more to LA than meets the eye. There is never a shortage of things to do in the many neighborhoods and smaller towns that make up the county that contains the ... Read more
second biggest city in the US. Among the most famous attractions are the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the many beaches along the Pacific Coast Highway, Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive (good for people watching if you’re an aspiring paparazzi), and the unmistakable Hollywood Sign. Further afield, Universal Studios draws big crowds of locals and tourists alike, with its famous studio tours and theme park rides. Top-notch restaurants and hotels can be found all over SoCal. Downtown LA has seen a recent resurgence as a commercial area, although it offers little excitement for daytime visitors. The vibrant neighborhoods of Westwood, Santa Monica, West Hollywood and Pasadena remain hotspots for dining and nightlife. Although choice of cuisines run the gamut, the city is renowned for its Mexican food and sushi. For ethnic food, head to enclaves like Koreatown or Little Ethiopia, which offer fare from around the world.

Summer brings crowds to Los Angeles, booking up hotels along the coast and restaurants in the city. From September to May the area is less crowded, and the air less smoggy, though you may encounter the hot, dry ... Read more
Santa Ana winds. Headed to the beach? Don't go in June when the 'June Gloom' makes the beaches cold and foggy for most of the morning. The coast is always a bit cooler than inland (head to Santa Monica and not Hollywood if you want a breeze). Whatever time of year you go, however, you can leave your down coat at home.

Most beautiful sunsets by the Beach or the mountains. Has great parks and museums to check out as well. Taco Tuesdays is something everyone looks forward to.

Ah! Los Angeles, this city gives me mixed feelings of fame, loneliness, excitement, luxury and ambitious. It's a great city to explore, to live here is another story. Being an east coast girl, I'm used to the hustle and bustle on the streets rather than bumper to bumper traffic on 405. Santa Monica although will always be one of my favorite beaches to stay.

It's an amazing place if you have money and are willing too go to some sketch places. I personally enjoyed my time around Hollywood. One thing that did bother me and I know won't change are the prostitutes. It's no legal, but we all know it happens and people aren't that great at covering it up.
