An amazing memorial for a lost love from our greatest Queen of all. Just a 10 minute walk from our house and very close to the young Royal household in Kensington Garden Palace.

Queen Victoria's memorial to her Consort, Albert. Located in Kensington Gardens opposite the Albert Hall, also worth a visit.

A loving tribute by Queen Victoria to her husband and consort Prince Albert. The gilded statue sits in the Kensington Palace Gardens. Queen Victoria was only a princess when she first was introduced to Prince Albert here at the palace.

The Albert Memorial, located in Kensington Gardens on Albert Memorial Road opposite the Royal Albert Hall, commemorates the death of Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. It is so elaborate that I find it an eyesore.

One among many beautiful monument around Kensington Garden and Hyde Park. Albert Memorial can be found at the south-mid part of Kensington Garden and is well connected to museums and other fun things for the family.

Queen Victoria loved her man and the memorial commemorates it.

Not far from Victoria and Albert Art Museum - combine both in a day's activities.

This memorial is located in Kensington Gardens directly north of Royal Albert Hall. Very ornate and worth a look if you are in the vicinity. The Gardens are a nice place to walk.

Beautiful memorial at the base of Kensington Gardens, the Albert Memorial is a very "deep" memorial because of the multiple layers of stories it tells: Victoria's love for Albert, GB's height of world colonization with the Union Jack never saw a setting sun, and the wonderful workmanship that is this memorial.

Albert Memorial is located in Kensington Gardens. It's a lovely little attraction in the park and is supposed to be a memorial tribute to Prince Albert.

So tacky and ott it's almost camp. Incredible testament to Victorian sensibilities about empire. And you don't have to stay long.

Always reminds me of Oscar Wilde's wonderful tale "The Happy Prince" about the golden statue of a kindly prince and a generous swallow.
