Used to be so much better but still great for lunch. Their new style sashimis are excellent, as is their lunch bento box. Personally I love the chicken katsu. Don't leave without trying the chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream.

Nobu has always been on my to try list. However, as London has so many restaurants, I finally got around to it on an opentable deal (4 courses for 49 pounds). I was excited to finally go. Then I went to the wrong Nobu. I went to the flagship store on Berkley Street only to realized that my deal was at a different location on Park Lane. When I finally arrived at the restaurant, I was disappointed, as it looked quite plain and we even only had those one time use chopsticks.

I ignored it all, as I was anticipating a great meal. Then it turned out to be a very OK experience. The four course we had were sashimi starter, assortment of sushi, tempura and then chicken with Teriyaki Sauce. I was expecting a lot more from Nobu, or at least a little twist or something different. If these were the dishes I want to eat, I would have gone to a local Japanese restaurant. I felt it was totally pedestrian. I understand that usually restaurants don't tend to put their best dishes in set menu deals, but come one, maybe just one awesome dish to make me want to come back and try the regular menu. Now, I have totally no desire of returning.

I've been to Nobu in several other cities and have generally left feeling that it's over hyped and over priced but this particular location seems to break the mold; seems consistently the best.

As with most restaurants serving an eclectic menu, the chef's price fixe (a.k.a. "set", "sojourn", or "omakase") is always the way to go.

Super pricey, but you get what you pay for: delicious, fresh Japanese Peruvian food with unusual flavor pairings and perfect texture. Items not to miss: black cod miso, yellowtail with jalapeño, spicy tuna with crispy rice. Tempura is also outstanding here - pieces are lightly battered and aren't overly heavy or oily.

I really love Nobu. It doesn't have the mystique it used to have..but the omakasa (chef's menu) I had tonight was really out of this world and great value. Tip: if you want even better value go for lunch - easier to get a reservation and the omakasa is a bit less expensive. There are two locations: Berkeley Street in Mayfair and at the Metropolitan Hotel on Park Lane. The later has a nicer atmosphere. The service is great.

My choice of expensive Japanese is Zuma or Roka. Nobu is delicious, but something is not quite right. The downstairs bar area at Nobu Berkely Sq is nice though & you can eat downstairs.

Very charming place with nice and funny environment. Staff is kind and sushi is good. We had a really nice dinner there, with people going and coming, in a very young and cool atmosphere.

Not my very favorite restaurant in the Nobu Matsuhisa empire, the London Nobu can be a bit of a scene, but this is still a good pick if you are in the market for serious sushi.

Generally tough to find really good sushi in London. I like the one on Berkeley street better than the one on Old Park Lane. Standard Nobu fare.

Nobu brings haute California Sushi cuisine to foreign shores with multiple locations throughout London, including this one in Mayfair. As always, it's superb with some of the best and innovative sushi dishes to be found anywhere.

Wish the tables weren't so close to each other so you don't have to have dinner next to two drunk business men and a couple of anorexic models! Other than that, fantastic! The cod is UNBELIEVABLY good. Sake cocktails are unbeatable. The chocolate box is to die for. Totally worth it.

The best sushi in London hands down. London is not known for its sushi, but Nobu is the only sushi place in London that can hold its own against a good California sushi restaurant. The scene is upscale, and the crowd decidedly stylish and cool. There are actually 2 Nobus in London. Park Lane is a nicer dining area, with big windows facing the park. The other location has a pretty fun bar downstairs.
