One of the original 3rd wave London roasters and coffee shops. But service is sometimes terrible and there are now considerably better coffee roasters around now

Coffee shop and roasters. The main branch is near to Covent Garden but it is starting to spread across London. Reasonable prices, excellent coffee and very popular judging by the queue when I visited

Had a great experience at Monmouth Coffee Company recently! Very friendly stuff! Even though the place is small they are trying to make everybody feel comfortable. Very popular place! So even if you came for the takeaway coffee you'll be placed in a queue. But it's worth it!

Once a well-hidden secret, this place has fast become THE place for coffee if you're in central London.
Espressi worth queuing for!

Really good coffee in Borough market that's worth the inevitable queue. Ideally located to have a stroll around Borough market afterwards (which is open thurs-sat)

The best coffee in London. Every time I go to borough market I definitely have a coffee here.

Hip shop that makes a ridiculously good cup of coffee. Avoid Starbucks and drink like a local!

Good coffee near Borough Market. Can be lines on weekends, but worth the wait. It's a chain so you'll see others in London, but I think this is one of the original ones.

Perhaps London's best coffee - they also have a branch in the city centre. Be sure to explore the surrounding Borough Markets.

Said to be the best coffee in town. Go for the flat white with a pain au Chocolat!

Consistently perfect coffee and arguably the very best in London. The baristas really seem to care about every single customer. Yes, you'll have to wait - but it's worth it. Other than the original Monmouth in Seven Dials, be sure to check out the other locations next to Borough Market and and the Maltby Street "market" area too!

One of the best places to get one's caffeine fix in London. Nothing exciting about the place itself really (although leagues more pleasant than any of the chain cafes) but the coffee is very very good.

Their brownies are the best! The coffee is pretty awesome, too, but really do yourself a favor and buy a brownie.

I am not a real coffee lover but if I drink it anywhere it is here. Fresh. Organic. Great service. Groovy atmosphere.

The Monmouth Coffee Company treats coffee like the sacred ritual I believe it should be. At least every once in a while. Each cup is individually filtered. The coffee is strong, high quality, rich and benefits from just a touch of milk. They are even serious about sugar. You can choose from big lumps of raw brown stuff, or sugar syrup if you are concerned about the sweet hunks dissolving fast enough. Definitely a London institution, with a couple great locations at Seven Dials and Borough Market.

I picked up a couple of pounds to bring back to LA. It was totally worth dealing with the customs people - best coffee we've had in years. Great location and it's always busy.

Monmouth serves the best coffee in London! Its coffee beverages are unforgettable along with its delicious artisan style pastries. The space is rustic and welcoming, though tiny. The company has been selecting and roasting its own coffees since 1978.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the world. If you like espresso drinks, make the effort of stopping by here. The cappuccino is to die for. Its halfway between the British Museum and the Theater District. There is another one in Borough Market.
