One of the finest hotels I have had the pleasure of visiting and enjoying a lovely Afternoon Tea. Rosewood London is located in High Holborn district near Soho and has a sense of space in London's bustling neighborhood. The hotel's interior are a work of art unto themselves. Every inch of the decor is carefully and exquisitely designed for a well traveled businessman as much as the urbane of the city.

The Rosewood London is an absolutely stunning hotel. The building is over a hundred years old and standards reflect the high expectations of the guests - yet staff are friendly and welcoming, particularly the doormen. Rooms are spacious with lovely views from the windows, and there are often little welcoming touches such as chocolates or cakes if you’re there for a special occasion, complimentary newspapers delivered to your door in the morning. There is all day room service from any of their menus, turn down service in the evenings, and a green policy for choosing whether or not to have your sheets and towels washed each day.

There’s a nightly fire pit in the courtyard and a Slow Food & Living Market held inside the hotel’s peaceful inner courtyard every Sunday, which recreates a typical British market experience. The Holborn Restaurant and Scarfes Bar are both on site, although if you don’t fancy paying the high hotel prices then there are dozens of options in the area for bars, restaurants and cafes. The Rosewood is very near Holborn station and walking distance to Covent Garden.

Manhattan Beach

The Rosewood London is one of the best hotels in London. It used to be the Chancellory Court and is a 100 year old building. Numerous world-renowned galleries, museums and theaters are just a short walk away. If you are a public transportation fan like me then you will love that the Holburn Tube station (take a right out of the station or left out of the hotel) is just 500 feet (140 meters) away. The Holborn Restaurant and Scarfes Bar are local favorites. Rates negin at 265£

Absolutely in love with the Rosewood London Hotel. The rooms are exquisite and it's walking distance to Covent Garden. But the design and the service are the standout features. Definite five-star luxury. And you must eat at the Holborn dining room and try the Valrhona chocolate pot. Um, you're welcome.

Although the location of this hotel is technically centrally located, I would never make a point of staying in Holborn again. The hotel is nice at first glance and I loved my enormous bathroom-( with great soaking tub and separate shower)-- but the service is really not very good and the hotel has a slightly sketchy overall vibe. Housekeeping did an appalling job with my room and at one point, I almost called down and asked for a vacuum. However, the rooms are spacious and I liked the look of the recently redone rooms. I did not appreciate the 15 pound daily wifi rate, especially because I was unable to get the wifi to work on my iPhone and it only half-worked on my iPad. The food is decent, but not amazing and the hotel does not provide doorknob breakfast menus for in-room dining, which I found disappointing. I love room-service breakfast and half the joy of it us not having to wake-up to place the order. When I was checking-in to the hotel, a man walked in with someone who looked a lot like a prostitute and asked for his regular room. Yuck. Overall, this place is not the worst place to stay and the rooms are very quiet, which makes this a good place to stay for work, but I won't be back,

San Francisco

Grand dining areas, spacious rooms and lovely fresh flowers in the lobby. Seems to be a popular wedding reception destination and I can certainly see why! It's situated between the West End and downtown, so it's a great location for site seeing and the staff is really friendly.

New York City

Despite its palace courtyard entrance and the opulent lobby designed with stunning marble architecture, this Renaissance is certainly overrated. Included are 356 generally spacious and functional guestrooms fitted with marble bathroom, though furnishings are rather outdated and walls so thin that neighbors’ pillow-talk easily reaches through. For modern French cuisine, the Pearl Restaurant & Bar serves lunch and dinner on an elegant décor adorned with chandeliers and shimmering curtains of real pearls. The classic CC Bar offers a modest selection of cocktails and wines by the glass. A good Fitness Center along with a lush day Spa are inviting facilities onsite. Management is impersonal and rigid, and the front desk team seems confused regarding their roles. Both the Chancery Lane and Holborn underground Stations are minutes by foot. Close by are popular places such as Covent Garden, the British Museum, Soho, Leicester and Trafalgar Squares, Royal Opera House, Tate Modern, and The London Silver Vaults.

The courtyard, liveried doormen, marble floors and crystal chandeliers all create a luxurious, classic atmosphere at the Renaissance Chancery Court. A comfortable lounge is equipped with newspapers, perfect for the Exxon Mobil meetings that were going on when I was here. All in all, comfortably luxurious with a slightly corporate feel, mixed with lots of vacationers milling around the lobby in their shorts.
