Lille Holidays

Lille is the largest city in northern France, a well connected international train hub with an excellent métro system. Getting in and around is so easy that it's a shame not to stop in to this city with excellent restaurants, interesting nightlife and a lovingly restored historic center (Vieux Lille). Foodies will enjoy the many patisseries and ... Read more
"estaminets" - restaurants where traditional Lille dishes are served. Attractions include the Marché de Wazemmes, an open-air market, and the 17th Century Vieille Bourse (1653, as well as a host of well-curated museums. Unfortunately, this bi-cultural city where citizens sometimes speak a French-Flemish patois has faced some problems from poverty and racial conflict in recent years, although no worse than elsewhere in contemporary France.

LILLE
Lille is a city with many cosy shopping streets, a number of large pedestrian shopping streets and a large indoor shopping centre. In the older part of the city, such as the Reu the Comtesse are what more exclusive boutiques. Lille is a city with beautiful historic buildings and monuments and a visit to the impressive art collection from the Palais des Beaux Arts is well worth a visit. And also the kitchen, a combination of Flemish and French is .... Top!

Nice atmosphere. There was a section for all Christmas stores. But the whole place has different shops and LaFayette mall.

Lille is one of the crossroads of northern France. It has a great history and good transportation links, but it also serves as a haven for transients, homeless, and other agenda-less people. It's easy to get to London, Brussels, or Paris from here.

Lovely french town on the border with Belgium and on the train line connecting Brussels and Paris to London. It has several pretty churches and historical sites. If you are heading to or from London by train it is a nice place to stop off and spend a couple of hours exploring.

Valencia

Musically you will note that this 1 million people town is 1hour from London, Brussels and Paris. Very cosmopolite place with a solid gastronomy that you should enjoy with some of the greatest beers of the world (belgian type).
Enjoy the old town.
