Customer service has always been excellent and this is a truely affordable Resort! Lots to do and away from the rest of the tourist traps! The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are 2 pools one is a family pool/sunbathing deck with a couple of bars and snacks the other is a rooftop pool/night club that is open late! Nothing better than a late night swim and a couple of cocktails! Parking is still free unlike the mgm properties that screw you out of every dime ya got! If you just want to have some fun in vegas and dont want to drop all your money on a room you only are going to sleep, shower, and shitt in this is perfect plus there is so much more to this property you will want to spend a few days here! This is truly a hidden gem in vegas!

Vegas on a budget. Way at the end of the strip. Or much sound deadening in the rooms. Hope you have good neighbors. Cool view from tower bar.

Off the strip, this place has restaurants, coffee, shopping, and extreme sports. No other casino in Las Vegas has rides on the roof where you shoot off and come back.

An old Vegas landmark and hotel - the stratosphere is a hard to miss hotel slightly off the strip. The rooms can be extremely cheap ($30 and under a night) and houses a unique and iconic top floor bar that spins with 360 degree views of the strip, not too shabby but mostly a good place to stay if you are on a budget.

Local from Las Vegas

The real novelty of this place is the tower, do not expect your room to have a great view. That being said the casino has recently been redone and is not bad. When I stayed there my room was a bit small and the window looked like it belonged on a submarine. But it was only 19.95 a night! You should check it out and go to the observation deck. Live it up, you are in Las Vegas for cryin’ out loud!

One of the older hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and at the northern most end, the Stratosphere is still a decent hotel to rest you head while in Sin City. The Stratosphere Tower also offers some amusements for the adrenaline junkies among you.

All the way at the top of the strip! I just passed by in the car but it's pretty cool and I heard they have all sorts of ways you can hang off and jump off the top!

They absolutely have the worst customer service I have ever seen of any hotel. They are rude and not helpful in any way. The place has no ventilation so you can't breathe because of all the smoke. And the employees at Baja Fresh in the hotel, assumed we did not understand Spanish and were talking badly about my son when he went to ask for chips. I would never stay here again.

Beautiful view, and they have a giratory restaurant so you can have dinner and see the city. If you go to the restaurant you don´t pay the elevator, otherwise you must do. The price isn´t cheap!

The rooms are great here. Beds and bathroom are clean. You get a good view of the strip however it's too far away from the strip to walk. Parking lot looks very outdated and needs to be repaved. I don't think the area around the casino is very safe.

Stratosphere's buffet sucked though. It isn't worth the price they were charging. Not even sure anything there was great to eat. We got a free pass to eat with our accommodations so we tried their sunday dinner. Meh.

Air quality in the casino is horrible. They need better ventilation to clear out the smoke. My eyes were getting irritated by the smoke.

It was nice to get free entrance to the top of the tower. The line is 40 mins long. It depends on the time you get there. The view of the city is great however the night we went to visit the top, there was a private party that closed off 1/4 of the top.

I am doing three stars, as I found that there are real differences in the rooms here.

If you do the "cheapest" rooms, you get a bare minimum room (like Motel 6). On another trip, I had to upgrade to get in and it was a nice suite like room (kept thinking I was in the wrong place).

This is off the end of the strip, and the low price brings in a different level of customer.

When in Vegas on business, and going to be more in downtown this location is for me.

Sort of a one trick pony. It's very tall and it offers a 360 degree view of Las Vegas. They have some thrill rides at the top. Best viewing would be early morning, sunset or at night. I don't know if that's enough reason to stay there and the neighborhood surrounding it is not very good.

Whether you choose to stay here or not, this is a great place to visit in Las Vegas. Take the elevator ride to the top, and enjoy some rides if you are feeling adventurous. Have a drink if not and enjoy the view.

It's on the strip, on the side closest to downtown, so therefore I believe the airport shuttles will charge you the same that they would charge you if you were going to a downtown hotel. We stayed during the week when it was incredibly cheap. We also got free tickets to their comedian show, and I believe free or discounted tickets to their sky deck.

This hotel is located in the near end of north strip, one of older hotel in the strip. They famous for having the tallest building in the west coast, there's no hotel room in the tower at all. Instead they got a lounge and rotate restaurant also observation deck and other activities which are overpriced. This is more like one time visit, not likely you will return unless you are bringing someone. You can view the whole las vegas, but the view of the strip isn't that good, Palm will get much closer and better view of the strip.

I don't like the casino area, the smoke smell is strong and is confusing get to the elevator.

I've never stayed here but it's always a stop when I go to Vegas. I made the mistake of going on the roller coaster that shoots off the side of the top. Never again.

Stratosphere is a little bit off the strip frenzy, good if you're not really into the whole craziness. The rooms are huge, comfortable and you still have the slot machines and casino on the hall. There is a whole food and services court on the way to the tower and a Starbucks for quick fixes on the ground floor. Guests have free access to the tower.

Somehow, I've ended up at the Stratosphere hotel more times than I can count. Usually, it's because everywhere else on the Strip is booked out or else crazy expensive. The rooms are small (with many "views" overlooking an ugly parking garage) and check-in is usually a time-consuming experience. None of the restaurants on-site, except for the pricey Top of the World atop the Stratosphere Tower, are really worth trying. Last time I stayed here, hotel guests got complimentary tower admission before noon, which will save you some dough if you want to go up the tower, although sunset is really the best time to be up there so you can see the neon lights of the Strip turn on. Anyway, overall this hotel will do in a (penny) pinch.
