The Delano Las Vegas is a non gami g hotel located adjacent to the MandalayBay. This means also sharing the pool facilities w the MB while theres a dedicated area for just Delano guests.

The Skyfall Lounge has THE best views and ambiance in the city. But it's even better if you can snag an invitation to The Foundation Room (next door at the Mandalay Bay).

Delano provides one of the best room values on the strip. All rooms are large suites include two bathrooms and modern amenities. The hotel itself is modern and provides a casino-free environment (with a connection to Mandalay if you want a casino). The only downside is that they seem to nickel and dime you for many things. The resort fee is over $30, but does not include parking ($10 a night for self-park), nor do they even provide free coffee in the room is ($4 a cup at the mini bar). The room prices, though, are generally great compared to similar rooms on the strip.

Although it connects to Mandalay Bay, Delano Las Vegas has its own style. I love this hotel because of the revamped rooms, small lobby and trendy decor. The moment you walk in Delano presents itself as a great place for quick selfies before check-in with glass mirrors, tall column structures and sheer frames in the background. The hotel features spacious and luxurious rooms with a beachy, Miami vibe; very much different than the accommodations at Mandalay Bay. Without even walking inside of Mandalay Bay, dining and nightlife exists within the Delano complex. For a night cap of cocktails, dancing and sightseeing high atop Delano, settle in at the Skyfall Lounge or people watch while munching on shareable plates at Franklin. Other dining options include Della’s Kitchen which is more of a café type establishment or Rivea, a more high-end restaurant for those looking for an upscale night out.

Last year, Mandalay Bay's luxury suites tower, which used to be called THEhotel, got a much-needed makeover. While THEhotel was definitely luxurious, it was getting a little rough around the edges. There are so many great new additions since they've changed the name (and the decor). Delano, named after former US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt infuses history all over the hotel and is a wonderfully thought-out concept that follows through in their design, the room interiors, and the entertainment and dining options. The Bathhouse Spa hasn't changed much, but didn't need to, as it was really a wonderful spa. However, there is also another spa at the Mandalay Bay if they are booked, or if you just want some variety. Mandalay is such a big place with so many options for dining and entertainment, and Delano is really the best of everything there is at the resort. You won't go wrong by booking Delano for your next trip!

Until now, there has been no hotel I've been to that was a good contender to my favorite Aria hotel. However, after THEhotel got revamped into Delano (the name is in honor of Franklin Delano Roosevelt), I think I've found a close second. The decor of Delano is much more inviting than that of THEhotel, from the lobby to the actual rooms. Delano just officially opened on September 1st, 2014, so I was able to see some last minute decorations being placed/put up during my stay (August 27-August 31). The curtains in the lobby were actually being hemmed by hand... I definitely love Delano's tones of gold, cream, and light brwns over THEhotel's cold black and grey. There is definitely still a feel of luxury when you enter the premises and rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Delano (and not only because I got engaged there this trip!). The BATHHOUSE SPA was very calming, relaxing, luxurious (detailed review in a separate location post). The room itself was very nice - there is a definite separation between the living room and bedroom; the bathroom is very spacious with two sinks, a LARGE BATH TUB (rare!), and a stand alone shower. I loved having the glass shelving space on the sides of the sinks for my toiletries. My fiance and I also LOVED the TWO RESTROOMS. There is a separate restroom located immediately on your right as you enter the room, and another restroom in the bathroom (also separated with its own door). Furthermore, we got a corner suite, so the view was very nice - I love seeing the lights on Luxor at night. I highly recommend this hotel. Aria is still my first love, but Delano comes in at a close second.

Love this hotel. One of my favorites on the strip because it is smoke free and does not have a casino. The rooms are luxurious and service is always impeccable. If you stay here you must go up to The Mix bar it has the BEST view in Vegas.

THEHotel is the newer arm of the Mandalay. We spent 5 days here with the family and really liked it. The entry was a bit rough - our room was not ready when we arrived so we had to wait 2 hours. But once we got settled things were good. The rooms are very nicely done in a modern, asian-influenced decor. All rooms are standard suites (with a separate living room), a big master bath and a smaller half bath by the entry. Free wi-fi in the room is standard and fast. The hotel shares a pool area with the Mandalay, which is great for families - there is the big "bay" with sand and artificial waves you can surf on an inflatable mat. They also have a lazy river where you can float around in tubes and relax. They definitely gouge you a bit when they can - you have to buy a tube for $25 to ride the river - no renting - and the small bungalows were $375. But overall the experience was great. There are also a number of great restaurants in the hotel - Aureole and Fleur were particularly good. Would stay here again.

Despite a kinda inconvenient location way at the south end of the Strip, THEhotel is still worth checking out (and checking into) just for its sweet suites. Four poker players could easily cram in here, sleeping in shifts on the pull-out couch and bed(s). Away from the Mandalay Bay casino floor, THEhotel has its own cool lobby bar and coffee shop, a sky-high cocktail bar called Mix, and dedicated valet parking just off I-15. I especially love the contemporary art (look, it's a Warhol!) hanging in the tall hallways, and also the Japanese-inspired minimalist spa upstairs.

One of my favorite hotels on the strip - I love the design of these suites (ALL of the rooms are suites), the living room area has a great feel to it but it's also comfortable. It's all the way at the end of the strip though, so sometimes it's not as convenient as other hotels located mid strip. Cafe downstairs, no casino, but an easy walk to Mandalay Bay.

The all-suites tower of Mandalay Bay, THEhotel is your luxury option that leaves nothing to chance. The tower is separated from the main hotel, making it quiet and peaceful (though it does have its own casino and restaurant), and the majority of patrons you encounter will be celebrities, musicians playing in town, or corporate high rollers in town for a convention. We stayed here somewhat by accident; we had reservations in the main hotel and something went wrong with the system, so our reservations were lost. Instead of just putting us up in another room, they upgraded us FOR FREE to a junior suite in the tower. Talk about service. We had a bellboy bring up our luggage, another one bring us a complimentary bottle of champagne, and we were given cards to use at the in-hotel restaurant for 25% off our meal.

The room(s) were incredible - sweeping views of the Strip from our floor-to-ceiling windows, a full mini bar, a bathroom bigger than my bedroom at home, and a bed so large and loaded with pillows and blankets that you sank about 3 feet when you sat on top of it. The sitting room was gorgeous and decorated in impeccable splendor, from the carved feet of the sofa/love seat to the enormous widescreen television that could be switched to an "atmosphere channel" (we watched fish swim around underwater).

We didn't eat at the restaurant nor indulge in the undoubtedly expensive spa, but the cocktail bar was a fun experience the evening before our show (at the Hard Rock Hotel). Definitely a place I would love to stay again, if I ever have the full wallet to support it.

Very chic, modern, clean, and fairly simple. A little peace and quiet for the madness of the strip, but since there wasn't much going on downstairs I didn't find myself back at the hotel unless it was to sleep. Though the Mix Lounge upstairs is quite nice, Great Views! Also the bathrooms are fun, you get to sit down to a full glass wall to wall view of Vegas and particularly the pyramid of Luxor.

Nice, enjoyed the stay. A little farther on the Southern strip side but that's ok, the walking is good for you.

THEHotel is pretty on the surface, but, like Vegas itself, lacks depth and character. Mandalay Bay has a tropical vibe, but it's so weakly executed that it's barely noticeable. THEHotel is far from the pool and spa, and Mandalay Bay is far from the center of the Strip.

A group of housekeepers relaxing in the hallway discussing about the harshness of life isn't something you'd expect to see in a hotel this swank, but it was the most refreshingly real thing I saw on my trip.

Very nice hotel, but it took me 30 minutes to walk from my room to my seminar in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

The rooms are very nice and spacious. The regular rooms has an extra sitting room with a couch a desk and a 1/2 bathroom. We could move into another room since the first was smoky. Service is very slow. The way to the pool is far away.

Fantastic hotel. Every room is like a suite and the staff is extremely friendly. Its a break from the craziness of Mandalay Bay.

Great hotel. We got a twin room with a lounge area for a great price on ebookers.ie.

DO NOT DRINK the tap water! The staff were ultra professional and it was so nice to wander down to the Mandalay Bay Pool.

Rooms are modern and truly 5 star.

It is a little far from the hub of the strip but it is so close to McCarran Airport it made it so easy to stay there. Can't wait to go back.
